andhe Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) On a visit to Edinburgh I saw a statue commemorating of the Blackwatch and it sparked off this idea. Highland Guard by andhe :-), on Flickr The torso/kilt combo was actually something I had already done for this guy Highland Battler 2 by andhe :-), on Flickr Edited September 11, 2012 by andhe Quote

Weil Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) Nice Work. I think I prefer the Highland Battler Legs and the imperial guard or kings officer torsos though. (Just not a fan of the cloth leg accessories, LEGO never seem to quite pull it off without it seeming tacky to me). The brickbeard torsos do work quite well though. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about below. I've also done it with the Royal Guard hat, head and/or torso and I think that works nicely but I don't have any to hand. I think the highland battler legs with the brickbeard torso might work well. Edited September 10, 2012 by Weil Quote
AmperZand Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Great Highland Guardsmen, andhe. Fab use of CMF and other minifig parts. The only thing is, I think your thread is in the wrong place. I'm not a mod but I believe that because it's only about minifigs, it should be in the Minifig Customisation forum. Amps Quote
Weil Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I think you'll find unless I'm mistaken that, that forum is for customisation of LEGO minifigures using non-LEGO materials or techniques. Here all the parts are LEGO and there is no distorting of the parts. Quote

Purist or not, a MOC that consists of minifigs only belongs in the Minifig Customisation Workshop forum. I double-checked with a mod. I know it's weird, but thems the rules. I fell foul of it myself once. Edited September 12, 2012 by AmperZand Quote
