MattZitron Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Who REALLY enjoyed it? I loved it. Made my Xmas. Shame we didn't see the design of the Daleks from the 1930s episode! Matt Quote
UltraPrime Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Yes, it was great. Was my Christmas treat :) And the '07 preview looks like it will be great - Sec returns! Quote
The Kid Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 It was ok. But I couldn't stand Catherine Tate in some scenes. And the Doctor's new haircut doesn't suit him. :-P Quote
JoeMI6 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Worked out pretty well. There were some nice gags, and I think it was the perfect Christmas day entertainment. Quote
Zane Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Awesome, aside from the Empress' talking to herself, unveiling her plan to herself and lame screaming. But that's only minor. Catherine Tate was pretty good, too, and I might liked to have seen her become a companion if only for a couple more episodes. 2007 looks good. Very good. It's funny, when the Doctor explained how she as attracted to the Tardis like a magnet, I was just sat there thinking 'Yeah, it's so obvious now....', when it doesn't necessarily make that much sense. ;-) I really enjoyed it, not sure which is better though, this or The Christmas Invasion....this one had more of the Doctor....anyhoo. Brainbox Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Shame we didn't see the design of the Daleks from the 1930s episode! Apart from Sec presumably. It's funny, when the Doctor explained how she as attracted to the Tardis like a magnet, I was just sat there thinking 'Yeah, it's so obvious now....', when it doesn't necessarily make that much sense. ;-) Oh, I do that all the time. As for me, I loved it. The TARDIS on a motorway *wub* . My grandparents were over to stay, and normally this means any programme will just be talked through. But for the first time all Christmas, no-one said a word! Next series looks good. It would appear that the Doctors new suit won't appear until at least some way in to the series. He was seen wearing his old suit in clips from the Shakespeare episode (episode 2). The 1930s episode looks like it might be episodes 4 and 5, because Miranda Raison is listed here as a cast member in Doctor Who Magazine, and on BBCi. Captain Jack is back at the end of the series, and I think the series 3 section of a book I was looking at in WHSmiths today said that the Judoon are in episode 1. Theres also a picture and caption that goes something like this: "From this concept design, it looks as though the Doctors trusty Sonic Screwdriver will be among the casualties of the Juddoons assault." :'-( Quote

But for the first time all Christmas, no-one said a word! My kids had been chatting, shouting and arguing all day - but as soon as Who was on, they sat on sofa next to me and all was quiet. For an hour. Quote
Brainbox Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 For an hour. Yeah, as soon as it had finished everyone (except me) decided to watch Coronation Street. They talked all the way through. Sure it was about the programme, but thats not the point. Quote
