z3_2drive Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Hello EB members, heres a MOC I long put off posting for who knows why. It's a great looking car with no panels, just angle connectors, liftarm supports, 4 flex axles, and my whole supply of 2L axles. As for functionality, buggy motor for 4WD, servo for steering, transverse inline 3 working engine(4 wouldnt fit), and a radiator fan. This was before the rally car chassis, so performance was bad, probably from so much friction. I had trouble running the gears from the far output, and because of the offset sizes of the buggy motor, combined with my minimum width needed. You can see it here...(if you think the 20t double bevel goes into second output, you're wrong, i blocked it off with a 2l axle) more pics: my sketch of the real thing: And special thanks to zblj for letting me use his front steering/drive and giving me tips Quote
sqiddster Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I really like that solution with the angled suspension linkages! Otherwise, nice car! Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) Immediately recognizable as a mini. As a fan of axle-constructions I really love the axle X-construction! Edited August 29, 2012 by JunkstyleGio Quote
kieran Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Looks nice, you got a lot packed into the small car Quote
Energo Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 There are many good MOCs in this forum. It's great! Looks nice, but it isn't a Mini, because real Cooper is more "round", maybe... Quote
