Murdoch17 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) The planet Aurora: This once peaceful city - planet now heads towards utter destruction. The long-time King, Legs the Great, has become besieged by his arch-enemy. This enemy, the shadowy Clockwork Rebellion, will do whatever it takes to dethrone the King and impose their iron will over the planet... The Ticktock man, a mechanical madman who now has 4 eyes, thanks to prototype electronic eyes. No one knows his true name, except for his former teacher / fellow inventor: Sir Albert Ironsprocket. The Ticktock man, who is now more machine than man, has one sworn goal: to rid Aurora of the King and all who help him. He is the Leader / founder of the evil league of mechanical beings known as the Clockwork Rebellion. Edward Scissorhands: This criminal mastermind wasn't always evil. His name was Edward Steele, and one day, on his way home from work at the factory, was kidnapped by the Ticktock Man and experimented on. He was awake during the entire operation to replace his hands, and his mind couldn't take the strain. He became a new person, Edward Scissorhands. He is insane and is the only member of the Clockwork Rebellion ever to have his name publicly known. His father, a Major in the Royal Army named Quinton Steele, disappeared after his son turned evil, but some say he left Aurora for a ancient land called the Monster Realm to seek out evil and destroy it. He has not been heard of for twelve years or so. Captain Vladimir Steamvalve: A officer of the Royal Guard and spy for the Clockwork Rebellion. He was a outstanding officer, brilliant security, weapons & military expert, but became disillusioned after the king passed him over for a promotion. He has since joined the Rebellion, but one one condition: he retain his job as a captain so he can spy on the king and his inner circle. Currently on the run with a copy of the King's plans for getting rid of the Rebellion. The King is a talking, 200 year old frog. He became king when his father died, and Legs has since abolished (most) wars, and only keeps the military in case of planetary invasion. The king takes the Rebellion personally, and has since his first encounter with those evil beings, he realized his military officers are almost all incompetent. He has since suspected a mole in his war room, and had attempts on his life twice last year. Since he has nothing happen this year, he suspects the rebellion is planning something massive but he has no idea what cataclysm is to come! Sir Albert Ironsprocket feels responsible about what happened to his former student, the Ticktock man. The Ticktock man is actually his dead brother’s son, Henry Ironsprocket. After Henry’s' father's death and his coming to live with his uncle twenty-two years ago, he began tinkering with machines, so Albert took him in to teach him. What he found was a sick, twisted, and remarkably smart young man. Albert taught him as best he could, until he met Alberts' best friend the King. When Henry refused to bow to the King, and even said he would never submit to his rule, Albert was ordered to deport him to a a desolate junkyard island. Albert did so with a heavy heart, but the damage was done. The Ticktock man was born... The rocket is the mode prefered of transportation on Aurora. It is used in this version (gold trim) by Technocrats, Aurora's version of the aristocrat. The masses of workers that make up 97% of this city-planet use public flying busses. The Clockwork Rebellion use a slightly different, older version, with Silver trim. They uses it very rarely, and only by high ranking members asw to make a statement: The End is comming, and I am part of it. The power source for flying steam ships, developed by Sir Albert Ironsprocket 20 years ago, is called the Steam Fusion Generator. It's production proccess is a highly gaurded secret, and only three people know how it works: Sir Albert Ironsprocket, King Legs, & the Ticktock Man who reverse engineered / modified his version into using Diesel Fuel, the main fuel source for Clockwork Rebellion machines. No complete "Diesel Punk" (as it is called) machine has ever been found, as parts are often reused many times. The Clockwork Rebellion flag. What they stand for is a complete rooting out of the old world, and replacing it with a new one, based of the Ticktock Man's three "Sparks of Truth", which form the Flame of Infinity on their flag. The truths are: "You will obey the Flame", "The Flame is watching you", & "Cyber Enhancements are the future". They are followed by many brainwashed citizens, most of whom don't realize what thier doing becuase the process for "enhancement" is so slow. Their name comes from thge clock work-like attacks, palnning, meetings, and such. Always the same, yet slightly different. The Kingdom of Aurora flag. The Kingdom is around 3,000 years old, and has always been led by one frog or another. No one quite remembers why or how the kingdom was founded, and why a frog leads them, becuase the kingdom predates modern recording methods, and older methods (such as the ancient Books) are highly toxic, (maybe Radioactive?) to touch and will kill you within several miniutes. Acording to royal scientists, who keep all Ancient relics under lock and key for "Security and public safety reasons", there is nothing of intrest in the books. Supposedly, anyone who steals them will die a horrible death inside the book holding chamber, but none have tried in about 950 years.(or more!) The LXF file contains all the above models / people. Here is the link. Comments, questions, and critcs welcome! Edited August 20, 2012 by Murdoch17 Quote
DraikNova Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Nice figs and good backstory. Funny joke with the frog. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) If you look really close at Edward Scissorhands' (aka Edward Steele's) data file, you'll see a Monster Fighters tie-in or two. HINT: What's the Monster Fighter with the white & tall adventurer's helmet? Also, where did I get the names for these villians? HINTS: The Ticktock Man is from a short story, and Edward Scissorhands is from a major motion picture. Oh, and a here is a rocket fact: The rocket seen in my post above is from the defunct game, LEGO Universe. I downloaded the file from the Lego Universe wiki page on rockets. This was the steampunk one originaly, but I modified it severely. Edited August 20, 2012 by Murdoch17 Quote
DraikNova Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I noticed the Quinton Steele bit while reading it for the first time. Nice joke. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 Thanks for the comments DraikNova! In case anyone wanted to know, I got the name for my villian from Harlan Ellison's short story, "Repent, Harlequin!" Said the Ticktockman. (Link to the story's wiki page) Though, in my charater, the only thing kept is the name, and that he sounds like a clock. (like his heartbeat) Also Edward Scissorhands is based on the name (and his scissor-like hands) from a movie charecter of the same name. Quote
