Those three set you mentioned are atrociously priced, hence why they haven't moved.

I'd also like to make the point that Chima is no shelf warmer. Speedorz go quick and Crawley's Claw Ripper is quite the seller, the best seller of the main sets, with Lennox's Lion Attack in a close second. However, it is not at Ninjago 2012 scale yet (Toys 'r' Uses being completely liquidated besides the Skull Truck). That is because it is brand new, and not quite up to that scale. Ninjago in early 2011 was the same way, although a bit more appealing. It is because of the aftermath of 2012 that we can rarely find the Fire Mech (cheapest 2013 set/includes the red Ninja on the 2011 boxes) or the Golden Dragon (cheapest set to include the Golden Ninja (main point of interest in the 2013 sets)/ Cheapest set to include Lloyd) available (so glad I got them when I did!). Chima has not made enough of a paw-print () to get masses of children at the ages between 7-10. They intend to do that with the show I'm sure, and I must say that if they are relying on the show, that age group would be so bored watching it. It will make a 4-6 year-old laugh and an adult superfan chuckle, but other than that, the writers are writing for a far younger audience than they realize or probably anticipated. If Lego doesn't step in instead of promoting it, we may have another series die in an Exo-Force fashion (without closing the story) which is sad, especially with it's potential!

Chima very well die in the same manner as Exo-Force, but I think it's awfully early to be predicting its death. After all, the sets tend to be nice designs and if they can sell without the support of the background story, then even if the show bombs it should be easy for TLG to make back the cost of their promotion of the theme and simply opt to invest less heavily in its story media in future years (kind of like how BIONICLE stopped having movies between 2006 and 2009, but continued to have comics and chapter books, which require less of an upfront investment to maintain). Early on I expected the show would help flesh out the story greatly and explain the character dynamics, but seeing as it has been mediocre in a lot of ways so far, it has to be wondered how much support it would even be offering the theme if it continued on this path. A lot of the mythology, the one part of it that does seem to have sufficient depth, seems slightly irrelevant to the sale of sets, since the "legend beasts" don't feature in any of the set designs, and any richness it offers could be achieved much more cheaply through comics, books, or even shorter "webisodes".

Overall, the fact that Cartoon Network seems to be putting a lot of support behind the show themselves fills me with some degree of hope for it. Granted, Cartoon Network is often castigated for making poor decisions about which shows they air and which they axe, but at the same time this at least indicates that they will likely at least let the show have its first season to prove itself instead of cancelling mid-season and leaving TLG in a sticky situation the first year running.

Just finished building Wakz's Pack Tracker. Super cool set! I'll record a review tonight, who knows when I'll upload it. Now I have 3 Winzars. :sceptic:

Would it make you feel better if you would send me one of your winzars?

I'm looking forward to your review. The Pack Tracker is my favorite Chima set so far. I think I'll buy it very soon. Very curious what you think about it.

By the way: I'm suprised there aren't any comments about the new show here? Or have I just overlooked them?

I've seen the first episode and...

I didn't like it very much. :sceptic:

I loved the Ninjago show and I expected the Legends of chima show to be very similar to it in terms of design, story etc. But I feel disapointed about it. The animations are great and from the technical perspective it looks much better than Ninjago, but I think thats the only positive thing I can say about it. The story is a little confusing and not very inspired. The voice acting could be much better and there isn't a real introcution for any of the vehicles. The great vehicles are always in the background and none of them has a prominent role. But the fact I hate the most is: This show seems to be made for really small kids. If you're older than 7, Ninjago might be the much better show for you. I hope the next episode will be much better.

That god awful review would be right here.

I don't want to become J2G, so I won't post my other Chima set reviews on here. Also, I'd like to note my voice gets high on videos, as do other people's voices.. It's just the camera I use, I suppose. SSEmote.gif

Enjoy...

Everyone thinks that their voices sound distorted after going through a camera.

The Pack Tracker is quite nice, however, I would have loved for it to be bigger. That's why I'm so excited about the combat lair!

Also, how did you do that final emote CM4S? I've never seen it before.

So, I've tried reading through most of the 96 pages in here, but I haven't seen what I'm looking for. Does anyone know if the polybags 30252 and 30255 are going to be released in the US anywhere? I know one was a giveaway with a Dutch magazine, but the other one I have only heard that it will be released and have seen the pics of it. I'm trying to find a way to get about 10-15 of the crocs without spending $300 on sets! And on Bricklink the figs are still a bit expensive

Niether of them have been released in the states yet (which is a shame). Be sure to keep coming back, though. You never know when someone will discover them.

Thank you! I have been in and out of here, just haven't said too much!

Hate Legends of Chima?

Why not Legends of Ghima? Or Chim? Scroll down to see hilarious knockoffs!

-Sci

Oh my gosh these are terrible . I can't help but laugh at the Wolf Garden.

It appears to be an Aril Fool's joke after all!:grin: However, this will not stop LEGO in releasing a polybag set that has a Wolf tribe member as the minifigure (nor will it mean that LEGO will not release one)! (This is what I meant in my last post here.)

"CM4S", I wish that LEGO came out with their own booster packs, instead of other companies in making fake ones, for the Legends of Chima theme, as I would love to get an official LEGO Crominus or a Cragger booster pack!

Where on earth are these guys selling these direct Lego Ripoffs? Are they that stupid!?!

Those pics are so funny, it hurts! Absolutely no creativity (Ghima... SERIOUSLY?). I hope these guys die out, and soon! They are a disgrace, and don't deserve a single cent (or whatever coinage they accept).

As much as that rabbit minifig looks creepy/hilarious, the build looks like of interesting for a bunny vehicle. Still pretty pathetic knockoffs, as most of them tend to be (Like those Justice League fakers who have Ninja Turtles, Lightning McQueen, and Shrek as honorary members) And seriously, a recolored Samurai Mech? I mean if it was a MOC as a Chimafied Samurai Mech it'd be pretty awesome, but this is just uncreative dreck.
