PSPguy Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 This is NOT a review. Just pics. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=221480 Ask for more pics. Quote
Darth Doggfather Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Are these yours? If so, can you post a pic of the inside with no stormies? Quote
PSPguy Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 Yes, this is mine. Oh, yea. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pspguy/r...ft/100_1177.jpg Quote
Darth Doggfather Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Thanks! Where did you pick this up, by the way? Quote
Khorne Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 It is quite ugly. Yeah, I think most of the SW 2007 designs are kind of bad (except the AT-ST and Y-Wing) :-/ . I probably won't be getting any... Quote
snefroe Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 yeah it is ugly. the engine section is really not good. also, the section between the cockpit and the mid section is dreadfull. nope, back to the drawing boards with this one Quote
Starwars4J Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 At least it's useful for parts and stormies :-D And those guns...which are really just the normal blasters with a butt on the end, and an elongated barrel. Quote
Vaders_son Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I only like it for it's 4 stormies, too :-/ Quote
Scouty Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 AND A TIE FIGHTER PILOT!! DON'T FORGET ABOUT HIM!!!!....lol X-D .It's an..."O.K." set. Regardless, I hope to get them all if not most. Thanks for pics anyway! Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 G, I am starting to get pissed at all the whinning, its like a never ending rant on those sets !! Why on Earth you guys can NEVER get satisfied ?? Seriously, if TLC did another re-release you would be so pissed (again). For once TLC tke the calculated risk of doing something totally new taken from the revised version of the OT, you still are not happy !! This set is really not bad at all !! And trust me, I can critisize SW where its needed ;-) Sure, some areas need a little pimpin (like the section between the cockpit and the mid section) but nothing out of the extraordinary !! Its normal for fans like us to mod every set TLC produce because they are never 100% perfect (I will say that a thousand times if I need it: I HATE those blue parts in Ties, and changing ALL of them is costing me a freaking fortune). I love those rifle guns so much *wub* I can't wait to get at least 2 of those babies (if not 3 or more) looool Here is some news for you: if '07 doesn't make you happy, just change hobby asap BTW, tks PSPguy for those pics ;-) Could you take some more that are clearer please (if you have a nice cam) ;-) Cheers !! *yoda* Quote

It just looks kind of crappy compared to the other 2007 SW sets. Sure it's good for Stormies and the awesome guns, but that where the goodiness of this set ends for me :-( . Quote
Echo Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I think we should be allowed to dislike one '07 set, Yoda. Quote
ApophisV Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Today my toy store got most of the january '07 sets, including this craft (but excluding the Y-Wing :'-( ). And after having a close look at the box I have to admit that this is such a terrible set! The figs are okay, but the craft itself is really bad designed. And I would NEVER EVER spend 65 Euros for it! Never! Even with my 20% off it will always be a No-No. The rest of the line looks alot better than expected though, especially the Battle Packs and the Grievous Fighter are great! Quote
M'Kyuun Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I finally got my ILC yesterday and enjoyed the build. Personally, I'm with XWingYoda: the set's not perfect, but I'm glad for something new, and i like the set for what it is, for it's features, and for the new weapons. I like the design; it matches it's inspiration well enough for a ship that had little screen time. My only gripe is with the ubiquitous spring loaded cannons taking up 1/3 of the crew compartment. I would have liked 6 seats, 2 rows of 3 each facing away from the ship's spine with 2 additional stormtroopers to fill them. IMHO, this sort of craft doesn't require heavy armament. That, and I grow weary of TLC's desire to put one of those blasted cannons on everything. The inclusion of a classic space metal detector would have been a nice nod to the famous scene: "Look sir, droids!" Quote

I guess TLC includes these dang cannons to increase the 'play' value of the set, but it adds nothing in my opinion. Of course, one of the greatest things about LEGO is that we can change it. I just built this set as well and I'm planning to make changes. I'm happy they mixed it up a bit and gave us this set. It's not perfect, but it's 85% there and we can mod it as we see fit. Quote
PSPguy Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 I acually removed the cannons after I took pics and use the 2 holes as windows but my cam broke so I cant take pics. :'-( Quote
