Norrington Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 I made a quiz at MyQuiz!.com Unfortunatly i cant figure out how to make of link at the moment. but to find it go to Myquiz.com, go to other quiz's and it should be there. Phes could you please edit my post to put in a link scince i cant figure out how.... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 15, 2006 Governor Posted December 15, 2006 Mr Norrington could you check your posts for spelling before posting them? Phs wasn't available to edit your post but Mister Phes is. Anyway, its MyQuiz.net not mtquiz.com, and is this the Lego Pirate Quiz? If so you might like to check the answer for question #2 because you'll find you have it wrong. And you should be aware that the Imperial Soldiers didn't have an Admiral, they had a Governor so you might like to amend question #11. Quote
Scouty Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 (IF this is your quiz...then>>)10/12....the quiz ok...I found questions really easy though...maybe that's cause I'm a pirate fan X-D . Also, I dislike the time limit. And some questions I had NO idea what they were about, until like ten seconds left (i.e. the first question: What was the second captain's name?) A good quiz :-) , but it needs 1. a little fix up, and 2. more explanation in the questions. I also don't like you have to sign up to take the quiz, ah well. Quote
Capn Frank Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Wow! i'm the worst one so far! Me, phred, not know much. Ug. (that was fun) :-$ Quote
oo7 Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 You spelled unique wrong. "IronHook" is spelled Ironhook. You spelled Roger wrong. At what year did "it" end needs more clarification. "(not minifig wise comic wise)" ??? Make sure to include "Not including re-releases" on the # of Armada sets question. Soldier in "Imperial soldier" needs to be capitalized. What others previously mentioned... Besides that it's pretty good. Quote
El Bucanero Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Nice quiz, I scored 11 out of 12.... But I think the pirate line really ended at 2002... Wasn't that the year when armada flagship, RBR and enchanted Island were re-released? Quote
Norrington Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 don't forget the bsb. but it didn't end then because it had to end in 1997 because there wern't any et btween them and the rereleases Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 16, 2006 Governor Posted December 16, 2006 Norrington have you fixed the errors in your test yet? |-/ Quote
Norrington Posted December 16, 2006 Author Posted December 16, 2006 i dont think you can once you post it but i'll check it out... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 16, 2006 Governor Posted December 16, 2006 Then you might have to do the test again because you can't test someone if one of the questions is misleaing. Its not very fair on those who do know the answer. Quote
Norrington Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 well the broadside uestion was actully pretty obvious because in the story of pirates he's governer, but in a navy hes an admiral, because he wearing the same clothes as the admiral in the pirate storyline.... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 17, 2006 Governor Posted December 17, 2006 No, Broadside is not an admiral just because he wears the blue equivalent of the Admiral Woodhouse torso design. In the official LEGO canon the character is called Governor Broadside, furthermore a governor is political figure, an admiral is the leader of a navy. They are definitely not the same thing nor interchangable. While it may be obvious to those who are familiar with the pirate theme, it may confuse those who aren't. We don't need to handicap them do we? If the question was "What was the name of the Imperial Soldier leader" there wouldn't be a problem. Quote
Norrington Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 but look at these: My Webpage Broad side's torso.... do you now see a connection to a british admiral? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 18, 2006 Governor Posted December 18, 2006 Mr Norrington I don't think you understand. It doesn't matter if that torso looks similar to a picture on another website, the website is completely irrelevant to the LEGO mini-figure. The LEGO Company officially named the character "Governor Broadside", and a governor was all they intended him to be. Now in your own make-believe world he can be an admiral or whatever you like, but if you're testing someone on facts which are already established then they must be accurate. You cannot conclude he's an admiral just because you saw a picture on a website because LEGO isn't based on historic accuracy and that website has nothing to do with LEGO whatsoever. Do you understand what I mean? But its a good website you've shared, however you shouldn't say its "My Webpage" when someone else made it. Quote
Scouty Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 "My Webpage" is the sentence from one of the URL tabs when adding a reply. It could have been intentional.(??) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 19, 2006 Governor Posted December 19, 2006 You mean its the default "string" that appears in the dialogue when you click the Insert Link button? That may be so but it can be easily edited. Quote
Scouty Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Yeah. That's what I mean. The Insert Link button Quote
