My trip to the “Travel To The Future” LEGO Event by LEGOLAND Malay

Firstly, may I introduce myself. I am Omega X and I live in Singapore. Due to the sad lack of Lego events in Singapore, I am very excited when I saw the article on Smashing Bricks. When I found out that the family meeting/gathering is held in the same place(Raffles City), I nearly fainted in shock and delight(Of course I didn't)

It is held on the third floor of Raffles City. You won't have trouble locating it-all the escalators are pasted with a gigantic poster of the event(That's good!) When you reach there, you will be greeted with this:(Sorry if the photos are blur, I used my hand phone camera)

There were Lego Sets on sale(Whether it is special prices, I have no idea). Most interestingly, there are displays. Not ordinary displays, but half-animated displays. What do I mean? I mean that the plastic covering the set is slanted diagonally, such that it reflects/projects the images/videos shown on a TV set 'hidden' on the top, thus creating several effects, such as(For the Ninjago example), the ninjas doing Spinjitzu, as the TV has the ability to project swirling tornado on a ninja. In the Star Wars example, lasers and explosions. However, not all displays are like that.

At the center of the fair is a...large display of the map of LEGOLAND Malaysia in miniature scale, but it is still quite big!

I am fully aware of this event and if there are pictures, it is always very helpful. I haven't gone down yet but it is great to create awareness.
