Lyichir Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I'm sorry? I know absolutely nothing about different types of molding machines and how they compare to one-another. If you could update the first post with some background information, I'm sure it would help a lot of clueless members like myself! Quote
Ricecracker Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Welcome to Eurobricks! Why don't you introduce yourself in the Hello, My Name is... forum so that we can get to know you a little better. What is this topic about, though? As you can see above, no one knows what you're asking. Please elaborate so that we can help you out. Spam? Where is the report button? The report button is on the left side of the bar between posts, under the member's information. Quote

I think the title and subtitle is very self explanatory. He is asking on anyone's personal experiance with an injection machine for custom molding. You know, to create custom accessories like BrickForge and BrickArms. -Omi Quote
LEGO Family Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Here is some information on the machines used for molding. I dont know much about it neither, but felt like looking it up since i was curious to know something about this topic. ITs quite complicated though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Injection_molding Quote

davee123 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 .... or he has major interest in customizing. It's true-- just my experience generally has been that people that can actually afford to get to the point of preferring something like vertical versus horizontal injection molding are more coherent. The phrasing mostly struck me as a homework assignment that someone decided to post to a LEGO forum, figuring that LEGO hobbyists might be able to give a decent response. But it's such a short description, I can't really tell. DaveE Quote
