dviddy Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Copied from BZP to further the 'lazy Americans' stereotype (because it's true!). So, after I built Jaller, good ol' Riko was all like 'hey, I'd love to see you build me again.' And even though I've built his alter ego at least twice before, I was all 'hey, why not?' He said white, and metru red, with some black. Being DV, I decided to take that as metru-red over white over black. He also wanted the white kakama. Which, being my favorite, was not something I had to fight with. Blah blah blah, so on, so forth, and etc. Back shot (kinda) Sword put up Frontage Side-ish stuff Sword focus So yeah. <<DV>> Quote
JoeMI6 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 This looks pretty damn cool. I'm liking the look of this a lot. The colour scheme is great, and I think you should listen to this guy more often DV ;-) Quote
Asuka Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Nice work, especially for the leg and chest design. Cool mask. *y* Quote
Darkness Falls Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Hey, another humanoid. Another humanoid. The sword, though very nice, is a little... LITTLE... overused as a concept. A little small, too. Actually, there's not much new here, except more system than usual. Very nice job. The red works excellently with the white, a huge contrast. So... good job? Quote

You're not allowed to review MOCs any longer. Nothing new? New torso design, new lower body design, new upper leg design, new lower leg design, newish lower arm design, etc. Also, small sword? It's still bigger than a fencing sword. I mean, you gonna walk up to an old school French Musketeer and tell him his sword is small? Aie. <<DV>> Quote

I mean, you gonna walk up to an old school French Musketeer and tell him his sword is small? I must admit, the leg design is pretty shnazzy. In reference to the sword, though... It is LONG, I agree... but the blade looks very thin. I don't know, it doesn't look right to me... I did not mean "small" in that sense, I suppose I should have specified. However, I did NOT notice the lower torso design. It is complex, but very plain from the front. Still, placing a dark red flat 2x2 plate on there would have caused a similar look to the upper torso, so I can see why you didn't add one. The lower torso looked very familiar, though, which is why I didn't comment on it before. Terribly sorry! And yes, I WILL go up to that Musketeer! Quote

I did not mean "small" in that sense, I suppose I should have specified. I was referring to the blade width. Rapiers aren't wide. Neither were Civil War era sabers. Katana's aren't often any wider than half the palm length, and this sword's width is about that width too. About half his 'hand'. Not all swords have to be 'OMGFINALFANTASY!1!1' wide. In fact, I personally despise swords that wide. Kopaka's blade is about as thick as I'll go, outside the Lewa Katanas. They don't need to be thicker than that. And yes, I WILL go up to that Musketeer! Prepare for a flaying, then! :-P <<DV>> Quote
hewkii9 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Nice. Like the torso, with the sloped and tiles integrated so well into the being. Thw color scheme is oddly Pridak-ish, did you have him in mind while building? Quote
