DLuders Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) The Family Vuurzoon recently posted their Lego Mindstorms "Mindy" robotic cheerleader on MOCpages. "The Lego Cheerleader Minifigure is adorable and now she can dance too! It's Mindstorms technology that brought her alive. Watch the video to see Mindy dance to the music." "Mindy is balancing on only 2 wheels. A gyro sensor from HiTechnic (certified & sold by Lego) is used to detect unbalance. The Mindstorms NXT computer calculates the required power to the wheels, to prevent that Mindy falls over." Read & see more about its NXT programming on MOCpages. Maybe it can be programmed to do the Macarena! Edited May 10, 2012 by DLuders Quote
Jim Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) Sweet! I have purchased the same sensors, planning to do a "decorated Segway" as well. This one is really good looking Check the link for the original version, where they based theirs on. http://www.hitechnic...o-sensor/htway/ Edited May 10, 2012 by Gekke Ted Quote
le60head Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Great model! I simply love the idea of it! Making it look like the cheerleader from the collectible minifigures is sweet Quote

lockdownTF Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 That is clever though I gotta say due to the wheels and the face I can't help but think that it looks kind of like the cheerleader minifigs disabled(and giant) sister! Quote
Burf2000 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Someone sent this to me if I remember, brilliant model! Quote
