LegoVervoerBouwer Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Hi This is the new official Lego idea site! There aren't nice models but it is the begin... (can you hope...) www.legoideas.com Quote
Orlego Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Wow, they really need a AFOL version of this site. ;) Quote
ApophisV Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Sad that so many kids nowadays need downloadable instructions even for the most simple models... :( Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 ya, thats pretty sad. Who needs instructions to build a C oa a E. all too ordinary.Isnt one point of lego build what you imagine or something? This site may or may not help, depending on youur point of veiw. Quote
Orlego Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Sad that so many kids nowadays need downloadable instructions even for the most simple models... :( Yeah it is, however, the people that come in our store are worse than that. Half of them don't even know the meaning of the word imagination (I'm NOT kidding). I guess this is why Lego decided to rename the three Lego Imagination Centers to Lego Store. :/ Quote
ApophisV Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 That is one of the reasons why I like the KAFOL community: I can be sure to meet people that still know how to play using their own creativity! :) Quote
jonfett Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 These basic creations remind me of some Brickshelf galleries. Sometimes I will browse through the site and see all these wonderful creations and then there are some really terrible things, like just a handful of bricks put together. Some kids these days just don't have a clue! :/ Jon. Quote
queenie Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 What a pity to hear these posts ! I was thinking only Hong Kong kids have less creativity nowadays, :( similar case in europe ? a.... any guys here know that there was a lego competition in HK during Xmas? Quote
Mini Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Well these new sets *only* contain basic bricks (not even slopes), so its not as if you can do a great deal with them anyway. Quote
Wolf04 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 i-ma-gi-nation? cre-a-tivity? What kind of gibberish language is this? I've never heard of those words in my life. Are they some kind of reality tv show? (end sarcasim) No offence but it's mostly Americans that don't know the meanings of those words. With their lazy-megablock and fat ideas...they don't even know there's a world outside their home. Quote
Jipay Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Erm please don't launch the endless "america is bad" debate. Only 51% of american are like this. The other half is made of great people who traveled a lot and are creative :) Just look at american people we have here ! They are just great Quote
