mahjqa Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) Inspired by the 'Tank Girl' comic book series. And if all this has inspired you to build a tank, you're in luck! Edited March 1, 2012 by mahjqa Quote
Darkdragon Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 nice work! I was working on something similar but lack any tank-building skills and failed miserable. This looks just like something from Tank Girl Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Great moc, and fantastic video! I like all the random turning bits on the tracks, and the firing mechanism is pretty clever. Nicely done! Quote

DLuders Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 For those who do not have Lego Digital Designer (LDD) on their computers, Mahjqa posted step-by-step Building Instruction images for his Lego tank chassis on his Flickr photoset. Quote
mahjqa Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 I don't know if Youtube is still blocking my videos in Germany, but just in case, here's a copy on Vimeo: Quote

DLuders Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 (edited) On his Flickr photoset, Mahjqa wrote "I only do this once per creation, since it's very work-intensive. What you see right here is a way to blend multiple pictures into one, so tinkering with lighting becomes a lot easier. Quarryman Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Wow. This is just insane, and wonderful, insanely wonderful. And t(h)anks a lot for the chassis instructions, they're brilliant. Quote

Captain Green Hair Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 So that is the part you were talking about on Flickr, now I get it. I do wonder if those gears are strong enough for my heavy beastie. Very original creation and I envy the driving skills it has. The video is inspiring, thanks for making and sharing it! Quote

TinkerBrick Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 This is so cool, but i think it really needs a "Hello Kitty" or "Snoopy" sticker on the back. Quote
grohl Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 First I thought you forgot about the tank's name but the sign in the back shows it! Cool video and great presentation of the MOC. There are going to be too many small tanks in a while. Quote
Rodeown Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 One word....... AWESOME! Love tank girl, got the DVD great creation you made here looks very good. Quote
Phantom59 Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Love the Tank Girl's tank  Any chance the turret section could be made clearer please I am having trouble working out how it operates and what parts to use Quote
mahjqa Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 Im glad you folks like it! Anyway, off to the responses: First I thought you forgot about the tank's name but the sign in the back shows it! I'm fairly certain that it isn't named after this guy, it's simply 'Tank' in reverse. In an odd way. There are going to be too many small tanks in a while. I hope so, I'd love to see what other people do with this. Any chance the turret section could be made clearer please I am having trouble working out how it operates and what parts to use You've seen at the end of the video? You've downloaded Lego Digital Designer to look at the LXF file? I wouldn't know what else would help you. This is so cool, but i think it really needs a "Hello Kitty" or "Snoopy" sticker on the back. Knowing Tank girl, more likely stickers are "I booze" or "I kangaroos". Quote
