CaptainCRO Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I would like to build a little display case for my figs, but I don't know how to. I have looked on the internet, but haven't really found anything good. It would be only for my special and promo figs so it doesn't have to be very big. The most important thing is that it should keep them from dust. Please suggest me something. Quote
ACWWgal2011 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 You could get plexi-glass sheets and make a custom case to go over the figures, those official display cases which are a little pricey, display boxes for other items, or if you have the funds there is also the curio cabinets/small display cabinets. I use the last one to display some small sets and my CMF figures and they've remained more or less dust free. Quote
Vindicare Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Buy one of those display cases that hold model cars and build a staircase stand out of bricks. Quote
lorax Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 If you want a brick built display, you could do something quite simple using some of the large windows that are around. This is something simple I just built to show two examples of what you could do (and build a number of them together to make a display). If you make tiled surfaces on the outside, it is also easier to remove dust (and hopefully your minifigs will remain dust free). DSC_0131 by tikitikitembo, on Flickr Quote
Shawn Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Take a look at this topic on FBTB.net. minifig display Quote

Mrcool1804 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Google "shot glass display". Thanks for the tip! Has anyone bought one recently with success? I was wondering how the depth of the racks that are on ebay compare to the width of a minifig? I think they would be close. Quote
Darkdragon Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Using the large trans-clear panels works really well for semi-permanent display. I have moved to using the pre-fab cases though because they are easier to get my figs in/out and I can hang them on the wall. This one runs $18-23 at Toys R Us, $20 at Wal*Mart Edited February 15, 2012 by darkdragon Quote

fred67 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Some of those displays from FBTB are quite cool, but eurobrick's own discussion on the subject is pretty comprehensive. I'm partial to mine, of course - the figures are not constrained as much and some of the others, and the cases are stackable and given vertical and horizontal space constraints are pretty densely packed. kasmca Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Thinking of getting this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-Clear-Minifigure-Lego-Wall-Display-Case-Holds-48-100-Dust-Proof-/320844106750?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ab3cc8bfe It holds 36 with stands and 48 without stands The also have a larger one that hols 72 with stands and 96 without stands I like that it has a cover to keep dust off. I think it's also cheaper than creating a custom lego built one. Quote
