martin1965 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) I'm going to buy the 8053 crane but i have one "problem"... I don't really like the all black tyres (those balloons...) and wheels. This is my idea: First of all, i'm gonna change the black wheels by grey ones (like the 8292 Cherry Picker). Now the tyres... I don't have the 8292 Cherry Picker to test, but do you think his tyres would suit the 8053 ( 8292 tyres: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/44309 ) ? I mean, aren't these too thin, at least when compared to the original 8053 balloons? Will the 8053 still be able to move just fine? What other alternatives do you recommend? The 8421 wheels/tyres are just too big, right? Thanks in advance! :) Edited February 1, 2012 by martin1965 Quote

DLuders Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 @ Martin1965: For future reference, you should be aware of the Bricklink "Tire on Wheel Relationships" webpage. It shows which tires can fit on which wheels. Quote

DLuders Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 You're right, the Unimog's 92912 "Tire 94.3 x 38 R" is missing, but it's also missing from the "Visual Lego Wheel Helper" too. Quote

I have used this site many times. It's of great help. Maybe we can ask Technicmad if he can make a section like this on his Rebrickable website. Quote

While it would be nice to add to Rebrickable, I'm not sure what extra I can add that Bricklink hasn't already done... probably better useability. I don't want to look like a copy-cat :) Quote
