Well, I've been around here a while now, but never did this introducing thing, so here goes...

Being 21 years old, in Lego ages I count myself as a child of the Pirates and Western generation (though I also enjoyed the 'ageless classics' of Castle and Town).

I spend my early childhood building colorful stacks of Dublo 'houses' and stepped straight to Pirates, somewhere at the age of 4 or 5, after finding a lonely ragged pirate figure on the ground near our home (I still have him: here he is pretty much the way he was, when I found him). He was then on the wisest and most trusted man of any of my forecoming pirate crews.

I was more or less unaware of the happenings of Lego for few years in the late 90's to early 00's (which apparently didn't cause me to miss much anyway) and was suddenly pulled out from my couple years of more or less shallow dark ages by a Legends Black Seas Barracuda sitting on a shelf of a local toy store. Inspired by that, I got my hands on various other unfulfilled 'xmas Lego wish list items' from my childhood, then fed on few Harry Potter sets, as their color scheme felt the most appealing, and with what ever looked nice enough. Until Lego released Batman... about a year after I had got hooked on the intriguing family of Robins of Gotham.

And lastly a slight word of a warning goes out for those who care of such things: I don't mind bley or reddish brown. And I actually enjoy fleshies ;D *gasp*

Outside Lego hobby, I spend time with comics (as may probably be guessed from above too), drawing and generally killing time online. I work as an advertisement designer on a local newspaper.

Another brother!!!

How much did you expand upon your Pirate collection, after finding this fellow?

Thank you :) I'm sure I will. Have so far!

:D Ahhah. Well, it'll probably please you to hear, that as of this point I only have one SW set... which that was too bought mainly for the parts (6211 Imperial Star Destroyer). Though, I'd love a Falcon :)

Well, it's an okay job. Not at all as 'grand' as it sounds, but it does have it's moments XD Lucky Luke though, I'm sure, most European kids grew up reading those books (along with Asterix and Tintin etc.), were they any more interested in comics or not. They're the kind of books, that were/are loaned from a library with one's first library card and read over and over again X)

Yeah, I remember reading, that you draw/drew comics, but was left guessing what those might have looked like as the links you've once posted were down ;D

Another brother!!!

Well, a fellow mate at least ;D

Not too much actually. I got Renegade Runner for one xmas and with my pocket money I managed to buy some of the smaller sets. That's pretty much it before after the dark ages... buuut it was enough for a kid with vivid imagination. Though, I guess I never got over not getting the Skull Eye's Schooner I had wished for that xmas, when I got the Runner instead. Finally bought it last year on an auction. Damn Santa XD

Did you buy that Black Seas Barracuda?

Yup. Fell in love and got another one too :D
