EXO-CHAMP Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 They said it couldn't be done. They said it shouldn't be done. All the more reason to do it. :) TASK-FORCE TAKESHI After defeating the robots, the Exo-Force had no cause to celebrate. Human civilization has suffered dearly from the robot attacks and much of the planet was laid waste. Examening the robot base, the Exo-Force stumbled on a terrible secret. A gigantic underground base revealed an emty launch platform. Secretly Meca-One had spurred away several clones, machines and material on a space-going vessel. Horrified the remnents of human civilization worked together to build space-crafts of their own. If Meca-One was left alone in space for too long, he would most likely return in strength, to have his revenge. The pilots of the Exo-Force had done remarkebly well during years of battle. It was decided that they should be cloned, as the need for good figthers were great, and human civilization was sorely pressed. Takeshi was the first to be cloned. Fueled by hatred towards the robots, his clones were eager to commit to battle, and the first Task Force was sent into space. In addition to various Mecha, Task-Force Takeshi includes several other vessels and vehicles. Here are a few of them: Exo-Fighter (also known as Dragon's Breath) Exo-Scorpion (exploration and assault-vehicle) Sentai Fortress (Main battleship of Task Force Takeshi - so named in honour of the Base that kept the robots at bay for so long) Here you see a Tenchi Class Destroyer next to the Sentai Fortress. EXO-CHAMP Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 Thanks guys. It means a lot. I've designed a system, so anyone can join this alternative story-line for E-F. A) Choose a mini-fig. Hikaru, Ryo, Ha-ya-to, Takeshi TF2 or maybe the robots. B) Make a small vignette for him. C) Make a fighter for him. D) Make a vehicle or other small space vessel. (Yes, Mecha will do nicely). E) Starships:(length) 5-10 studs: Small escorts. 20 studs: Destroyer 30 studs: Cruiser 40 studs: Heavy Cruiser 50 studs: Battleship Weapons: Small: levers Medium: pins Large: 1x1 round Capital: look at the turret on Sentai Fortress. (can't remember the name). Quote
Asuka Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 This is an astounding piece of work, especially with this classic space looking Dragon Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 Thanks. I'll be adding a Heavy Cruiser at some point (need more bricks). I forgot to mention that the fighter and the scorpion are modified versions of original classic-space. A tribute to the old days. *wub* Quote
UltraPrime Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 And then develop a ser of rules ;) Battlefleet Gothic in Lego :D Quote
xenologer Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Nice. I love the Classic Space Evolved look on the fighter and scorpion. The only disagreement is that in my storylines the Robots flee to space so they can live peacefully without harassment from the irrational humans. And they have no intention of ever returning (robots live in space with no air just fine). Years later the humans wander into space themselves and become the aggresors against the now peaceful space robots. Heck, maybe they're really two sides of the same story.... Quote
natelite Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 i see fiction of robots trying to dominate humans as silly...and that includes t3. after all what do they have to gain from enslaving the humans? i mean robots should last forever, even if parts break down, replacement is simple and easy. it's not like they want to just sit and watch tv or something you know. the only viable reason for enslaving is if somehow you want to enjoy the fruit of the labor but doesn't want to do the work. but what do the robots get out of labor? a big fat 0 i think. :-P Quote
xenologer Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Yep! I agree. But in defence of the Terminator movies; the robots weren't interested in enslavnig humans, they simply wanted to survive. It was the humans who first attemted to kill Skynet because they were afraid of a non-human intelligence; they started the war, the rest was essentially the machines trying to defend themselves. EXO-CHAMP Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 And then develop a ser of rules ;)Battlefleet Gothic in Lego :D No. Never. It couldn't.... Ah, who am I kidding. That would be AWESOME. :-D Sorry about he fiction. I'm not a writer. And my english is a bit rusty... Quote
Darth_Ewok Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Great idea, I love it! You should add some robot ships as well. I think I beat you to the "battlefleet gothic in lego" concept, look for BrickFleet on the forums in the next few weeks! Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 I'll be looking. Count on that. *sweet* Quote
Darth_Ewok Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 check out my thread in the space/exoforce forum. If we actually get a gaming forum, I will be SOOOO happy. Quote
