Starwars4J Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 You'd probably enjoy Brickmodder then :-P The man can light up a 1x1x1/3 plate! Quote
optimus-convoy Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Instresting. I'm not a customizer myself, but that might look nice through a UFO minifig head. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I love the horseman! Ties in nicely with the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I've seen Brickmodder and the lights for the train/train fig. I really admire the creativity and detail to light these figs up. I also respect someone who would cut in to a minifig to do this. I'd be scared of ruining the fig permanently. I have tried using small Christmas Village lights with Lego sets before. The result was pretty good (I think): Quote
Scouty Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Cool, thanks for the link, I may wanna try this with one of my figs :-) Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I'd love to try it myself, but I'd hate to ruin a fig. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 If you only knew how much seeing these things BUG me. They're awesome as all sin... but man... why isn't Lego doing this? I know there's safety concerns, kids swallowing batteries, acid leakage, but geez... There's gotta' be a way... like having plates connected to 9V sources, where the only "guts" in the minifig is wiring and lights. Make one leg stationary with metal nibs in the bottom to get power from the plates... anything. : / Oh well, until Lego gets smart, this stuff kicks major buttcheek. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I think that Lego could offer light up figs and more pieces similar to how they created the light-up jedis for the SW theme. A train track controller with a light up lantern, maybe some spooky figs with light-up eyes (like those from the Studio theme), and many others. The possibilities are endless. Quote
Scouty Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Does anybody know what the insides are like of a LUFigure? I know cause I had a spare to: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=126936 Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I would guess it's just hollowed out with room for a very small battery and wires. Quote
Norrington Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 if thay do it wil lul (light up lightsaber) figures they can probably do it with other figures like, one of those black skeletons would look very good with red, or a grim reaper with red light up eyes.... Quote
