Eggyslav Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) Howdy Partners, I'd like to present my biggest (5238 bricks in total) LDD Creation Yet to be built: Red Rock City. More pics on my Brickshelf. I know, the buildings are (apart from some exceptions) simple, but I'm not a fan of fancy techniques. The city itself has everything, what a typical Old West community need. There's a huge Town Hall/Courthouse, a Gold Mine (Includes also a Warehouse and Trading Post/Trade Company HQ), which is the main source of city's income, a church with small graveyard, a jail with gallows (they were really fun to make), Sherrif's Office, Saloon, General Store, Funeral Store, Barbershop, a Train Station (with Train), a Hospital, a Bank, a forge, and some log cabins for minifig cowboys to live in. All Buildings are Detailed inside and outside, and have no back walls, to play inside. I was Building this town before the Horse Minifig was included in LDD, so I've developped my brick built horse design. As you can See, The city consists of only one, busy street. The buildings are built on separate 16x16 plates, an can be freelly rearranged, apart from Town Hall, Mine, and Train station, which use 3 16x16 Baseplates. The latest building is the Town Hall, partially inspired by the upcoming 10224 Town Hall. It is also the biggest one, too. The buildings were mostly inspired by old Lego Western Theme, the Western movies per se, and Back to the Future III movie. Hope You'll Like it. Please, Comment. Edit: .lxf file Ahoy! lerico Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Looks very good. Would love to see it from another angle too! Hope you will actually build it someday :-) Quote
Eggyslav Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) Thanks! I could Upload the .lxf file, so everyone can see it in 3d. A screen doesn't give all the justice to such enormous MOC. Also there's a link to my Brickshelf, there are more pics. *sigh* Is this a tradition, or custom on those forums to totally ignore a newcomer and his MOC? Edited January 18, 2012 by Eggyslav Quote
MattTheLegoman Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 You say it is Modular? When you put up the lxf can I create some buildings in your style to add to the town? It could be the next Market Street. Quote
Creator Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Wow! That's a pretty impressive MOC in LDD! Personally, I'm not a big fan of LDD but this one is outstanding. Hope to see a brick-build version some day. Good luck! Quote

It could be the next Market Street. Of course, I'll soon add the file. Glad you Like it! Just make the buildings on 16X16 plates. You can base them on the cabins i made. Edit: The .lfx is uploaded. enjoy! Edited January 20, 2012 by Eggyslav Quote
MattTheLegoman Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I am very impressed Eggyslav. It wasn't the sort of modular I was looking for to convert some my Megablocks sets. But this could be a plausible LEGO set! A perfect mixture of fine details, humour, simplicity and creativity. Wow Red Rock has everything! Just check out the LXF. Quote

Thanks for your kind words... to bad, that no one else is interested in my MOC... Please, anybody, Tell me what do you think about it, I need some support here.... Why do everyone ignore me and my MOC, That's Unfair! Quote
Foremast Jack Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I seriously doubt anyone is ignoring you. You have to realize that "wild west" is a niche and so there are only going to be so many people that even come into this thread to check it out. Complaining like a child to get attention for your work doesn't help at all either. About to download the LXF and check it out. Quote
Henchmen4Hire Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Neat idea The brown buildings are repetitive and boring, try adding color to some of them I like the old guy with a banjo lol Quote
Eggyslav Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) Neat idea The brown buildings are repetitive and boring, try adding color to some of them I like the old guy with a banjo lol WEll, They Are supposed to be simple wooden shacks, and if you have noticed, they aren't repetitive, each building differs in details, you have to Download the .LXF, and look closer... But maybe I'll pus some white adobe buildings, to break the monotony..... EDIT: It's been a while, and I've modified Redrock city, added Grocery, made a bigger saloon, and some outskirts.... ;) Edited October 25, 2012 by Eggyslav Quote
