Aaron Morse Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 http://www.lego.com/eng/preschool/products...tes&prodID=7880 Uhmmm...when everyone sends letters to Lego for new pirate lego, are we not being specific enough about the age of the person playing with it? Quote
Aaron Morse Posted October 6, 2006 Author Posted October 6, 2006 This is kinda old news... Not to me! Sorry if its an old subject but holy moley that's pretty....ichy. Lego went from 5+ to 2years olds, someone need to tell them they're going the wrong way! Quote
Aaron Morse Posted October 6, 2006 Author Posted October 6, 2006 perfect! thanks! my opinion has now been voiced! ok Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 6, 2006 Governor Posted October 6, 2006 Recommended threads on Duplo Pirates... Duplo Pirates @ Brickset Further pain for pirate fans? I think this thread probably should be merged with one of those. Quote
Starwars4J Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Well, as I mentioned in my topic E-mail poll from Lego, one of the options that they're considering is either a Pirates of the Caribbean line, or just a regular ol' Pirate line ;-) Even if it's nowhere near being put into practice...at least it's getting somewhere, right? I don't understand what you mean Mr Starwars4J, in this list Pirates didn't make the top 10. Here is what was listed in order of popularity:1 Christmas ornaments/decorations score: 733.00 2 Packages of lego mini figures only score: 93.00 3 Storage boxes that are designed to hold varies pieces that are used in all building designs. This way kids have certain pieces at their finger tips w/out having to dig into a large box/container. score: 91.00 4 More video games like Lego Star Wars. score: 75.00 5 mini figures very good especially more starwars and theme characters score: 58.00 6 Star Wars I & II minifig collection set. score: 58.00 7 I think it would be massively popular with both existing LEGO fanatics and the casual LEGO buyer if you sold a lot more minifig theme packs, just like the "30 townsfolk minifigs". e.g. 30 Star-Wars or Knight Kingdom minifigs with equipment score: 38.00 8 star wars, batman etc separately sold figures score: 36.00 9 "Classic" or older out of production made sets score: 34.00 10 Bigger range of keychains/magnets etc, especially Star Wars charaters. Would love to see more of Boba Fett!! I went through the entire survey and saw no mention of Pirates, but I did skim through it because I was in a hurry. Exactly where did you get this information about a new Pirate theme? Quote
john cleese Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 perfect! thanks! my opinion has now been voiced! well i didnt send it ,the link was actually supposed to show the typed email that said "lego your going in the wrong direction." However i had emailed them in the past about a new pirate line. But they ignored me, which was pretty much what i expected they would do. Quote

Aaron Morse Posted October 8, 2006 Author Posted October 8, 2006 Just got a response back from Lego. It was nice to get such a quick response but the general idea in the email was. "Nothing coming up but we've got other products in our lineup which may interest you instead" Which is kinda true for our household since my kids love StarWars lego too, but doesnt help me with my need for a "colonial nautical lego fix" So I get teased with 4+ and duplo kits AARRGGHHH! :( Quote
El Bucanero Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 So they said that there won't be pirate theme soon, told you that you might be interested in pirate lego and they teased you with 4+ and duplo?? Quote

I'll go along with that until someone provides a definite answer. *pirate* Just got a response back from Lego. It was nice to get such a quick response but the general idea in the email was. JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Granted, these sets are kind of kiddy (kind of?), but is there not some redeeming parts to fusion over into regular system? http://search2.lego.com/exec/?q=pirates&pt...g=2057&cc=US&u= You know, thank you for this topic... I'm REALLY diggin' the glowing parts on this puppy: http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=7881 The rest of the set appears to be scrap, but maybe Bricklink'll get the glowy stuff. X-D Item#: 7883 Ages: 3-6 Sorry, item is not available in this country. OoOOOOoooOOOoooh, BURN. I really do want that skeleton, dammit. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 9, 2006 Governor Posted October 9, 2006 Granted, these sets are kind of kiddy (kind of?), but is there not some redeeming parts to fusion over into regular system? How could they be fused? They're build on an entirely different scale and as far as I'm aware there's no pieces to connect duplo to SYSTEM. Maybe if the below ship could be stripped of all its Duplo studs then perhaps its hull could be used. But the average MOCer wouldn't go to the trouble. You know, thank you for this topic... Actually you can. a standard 2x2 will fit prefectly over a duplo hole and a standard 2x4 will fit over two duplo holes. Quote
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Cool, Megabloks without the quality. Quote
Aaron Morse Posted October 9, 2006 Author Posted October 9, 2006 Actually they're not too bad. The fits good and it takes up lots of room. Cool, Megabloks without the quality. Quote
