B-Lister Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 How much has changed, aside from the double print torsos and heads? Robin obviously got a costume update to his Pre Final Crisis duds, but what about the rest? Anybody have the old and new versions of most of these guys? Quote
fatfrog2596 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) Hi! This being one of my first posts please excuse any mistakes such as any picture sizes. Note that all 2012 pictures have been pulled from Brickipedia as I have not been able to get any new Batman sets. The Batman (2006) from 7781, 7783, 7785 The Batman (2012) from 6863, 6864 As you can see above.. he 2006 version has a larger Bat-symbol on his chest and thicker chest muscles printing. While the new Superheroes version has some chest muscle showing above the Bat-symbol and has his utility belt in the early pouch version while the 2006 Batman has his utility belt in the capsule version. With Lego, adding more detail than previously to the minifigures, the newer one has back printing and a double sided head. I can't seem to add anymore photos to this post as my upload quota has been maxed out? Not really sure how that works though, as I have more comparisons to add. -Fatfrog Edited January 9, 2012 by fatfrog2596 Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Great pictures, thanks for sharing! Sometimes I've seen also a blue/grey Batman ...is this a new version? Quote
Siegfried Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I can't seem to add anymore photos to this post as my upload quota has been maxed out? Not really sure how that works though, as I have more comparisons to add. We don't host images here; please use an image hosting service like Flickr. Sometimes I've seen also a blue/grey Batman ...is this a new version? The grey one was in the Killer Croc set... and the first blue one was in sets like the Scarecrow set. Quote

Clearly lots of thought goes into designing these figures. LEGO could have simply reused the original designs. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 That is really neat seeing the side by sides. I can honestly say I am thankful for missing out on 2006 wave since I much prefer the newer versions on everything! But the sets seemed better in 2006. Thanks for the link! Quote
dark1san Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 i did my own side by side comparison of Harley Quinn, I like the new one a lot better. Quote
Ulta-Doomie Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I never noticed the difference with the bat symbol. Quote
Ceroknight Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 After checking that link, I must say I prefer the 2012 versions except blue batman, prefer the grey, and two-face Quote

???theriddler??? Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Here is some more. http://www.brickheroes.com/2012/01/harley-quinn-et-bane-20072008-vs-2012/ Prefer the old Harley and Bane. But the backprinting of the new bane is awesome! Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) So far, I prefer all of the new minifigures, except for Two-Face. The new Two-Face is much more detailed than the old one, which is nice, but I miss the black/white and bulging eye. I have mixed feelings about Bane, I like the more angular new mask, but it doesn't seem as accurate as the old one (at least not the depictions I've seen), and I like how the old torso showed more muscle, a lot of these figures have huge belts. I prefer the muscles on the old Riddler too, this one is just as muscular as Batman and Superman, and as the Adam West Batman once said, "This is ridiculous, he's even smaller than you," (you being Robin) But other than a few nitpicks, many of these new figs are great, and I can't wait to see more characters. With some colors which have been more widely available since 2006, I'd love to see a new Scarecrow. Edited January 12, 2012 by Superficial Username Quote
The Blue Brick Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I still wish I had all my old 2006 Batman sets and figures. I ended up selling the whole line for $1,500 shipped couple years back. I' in total regret now. They are worth so much more than what I ended up spending it on. Quote
B-Lister Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Thanks so much guys! I still wish I had all my old 2006 Batman sets and figures. I ended up selling the whole line for $1,500 shipped couple years back. I' in total regret now. They are worth so much more than what I ended up spending it on. The only set I had from the original line is the Penguin Sub. I am a big Robin fan so I couldn't pass it up. Really wish I could've gotten Arkham for Scarecrow and Nightwing, but hopefully we get new versions of both, sooner rather than later! Quote
