Brick Miner Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 so, how much do YOU actually buy/sell from the "ultimate pick-a-brick" ;-) this will be a good thread to get to know your fellow BrickLink buyer and BrickLink store owners. BrickMiner (80) as of this post anyway :-D i go for the individual pieces of new sets. and really have no interest in buying any of the new releases whole. so i pick up the new elements i need... that is where the majority of my "80" comes from X-D occasionally i buy old stuff... but not too much, as i prefer buying vintage MISB sets as opposed to "used" pieces. - Brick Miner Quote
Starwars4J Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Starwars4J (37) I don't Bricklink that much, some parts here or there, though with a few big projects coming up I'm going to need to *wacko* I also buy the occasional old set, though I find E-bay is often better for full sets Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 (edited) JINZONINGEN_73 (8) Perfect score... though hardly any buying activity. Luckily, I got my stuff in the mail last year from the ex-Admin Swanberg, right before the feds caught him for his Millenium Falcon stealing spree across western USA toy aisles. Though I noticed earlier tonight that the guy still is active on Bricklink, even though his store's been closed since 11/2005? http://www.bricklink.com/feedback.asp?u=Swanberg Explain to me how he's gotten positive feedback as late as 5/7/2006... unless of course his store had briefly been reopened? Weird. Sir Dillon Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 LegoSpieler (4) It's all positive, though. I don't really use Bricklink that much... Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Kikuichimonji (28) All positive, but I only but stuff if I need it, so most of the time it's a couple of orders in one week and then nothing for months. Quote
Lamanda2 Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Lamanda (36) I get lots of minifig pieces for customizing, two recent orders are from Germany, where you buy all the good stuff in bulk. X-D ..And let's not forget my Little Armory needs ;-) ~Amanda Quote
Brick Miner Posted October 6, 2006 Author Posted October 6, 2006 oh, and by the way... if you don't reponsed in this thread, we will assume you have a (0) feedback rating... which tells me your not into the pick-a-brick concept... which tells me your really not into MOCing (unless you are wealthy enough to buy sets stricktly for scavaging new pieces, in that case i just envy you >:-) )... which doesn't speak highly of your commitment to the hobby ;-) :-P - BrickMiner Quote
mutley777 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 mutley777 (108) i closed my store nealy 2 years ago now. i was having real trouble parting with some of the sets. :-D i would say bricklink is one of the best ways to buy parts and minifigs. it always seems a much more freindly site to deal on than ebay. captaintau Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 captaintau (21) I don't sell anything and don't buy much, but I do have 100% positive feedback. What I do buy are mostly parts like all the parts I needed for my mini Tantive IV Quote
ScottManDeath Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 SMD (1) So far, got only some creator sets. Eventuelly, I will get the 2004/ 2005 KK2 stuff from there Quote
Norro Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 oh, and by the way... if you don't reponsed in this thread, we will assume you have a (0) feedback rating... Of course you still won't know the username... ;-) God Bless, Nathan Quote
Hun Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 The_Hun (7) (link in signature) I've only had PayPal for 2 months, so the action's just beginning... :-) I mostly buy new parts for MOC, and the occasional minifig for a future Castle collection. What I sell is unwanted parts from sets that I bought for parts. Quote
Hobbes Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 misterhobbes (7) I don't sell on BL, I look for parts mostly and then I usually wait until I have a lot that I need and see that I get it from one seller to save shipping. Since that takes time and I started to buy only recently my rating's still low (but perfect ;-)). Quote
Brick Miner Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 Of course you still won't know the username... ;-)but they will,... and the words "doesn't speak highly of your commitment to the hobby" will haunt their dreams >:-) and eat at their consious >:-) :-P -------------------------------------------------- with this thread, i was really hoping to see if any of those multiple hundred (or thousand) feedback BL users were my fellow EBers... if they are amoung us, they haven't shown their face yet... - BrickMiner Quote
CopMike Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Like you Brick Miner - I just looked away and when I looked back - whoa what happened here X-D ? I Quote
Brick Miner Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 I just looked away and when I looked back - whoa what happened here X-D ? :-D :-D :-D sales make up about 20 of my 80 something... but that remaining 60 gave me the "whoa what happened here" for sure !!! i've only built like 4.5 (one is half finished) MOCs with that !!! - BrickMiner Quote
SuvieD Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 218 with around 70 being buys. Not buying anything lately though. Only selling to help pay for school. Quote

SirNadroj Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 All 17 of my feedback is positive! *y* Unfortunately, I don't have a store because I don't have a payapl account, because I don't have a credit card because I'm under aged because... ;-) Quote
Hinckley Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 hinckley39 (198) That is from buying and selling, mostly buying. I have one negative comment from a ridiculously looney idiot. :-$ Quote
Shadows Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) I have one negative comment from a ridiculously looney idiot. :-$ I swear, I haven't even dealt with him yet ... *wacko* As for me, I'm a 26, 100% positive, but pure buyer and not much of one really. I reserve Bricklink for very specific things. I need something, I search for a while until I find someone with a variety of things on my wanted list, I put in a $50+ order. I don't like small orders there, they seem wasted. I use real stores, eBay and private deals for my bargain hunting. Edited October 15, 2007 by imperialshadows Quote
