Brick Miner Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 I meant to say more but forgot...(you know reading over some of my posts I realize I can come off like kind of a smart mouth...)your cool with me *pirate* Anyway, I think some of the reasons that this thread is so long as compared to MOCs you've posted before are like you said: The "controversy" over the price and convincing packaging. I also think it's a very good MOC and worth discussing.yes, if you were to count up the posts that deal with the price issue, that would probably be and obvious truth :-D but i didn't list that as an option because that variable remained the same between my two MOCs. so why didn't that conversation happen in the Gunslingers Saloon thread ??? i figured there must be something else going on. so i listed other possibilities... as you can probably tell, im very interested in the "stir" that my MOCs make from one to the other... im not so much interested in the stir of each one... but how they rate amongst themselves. i will definitely be interested once i have like 10 done... to see which the more popular of them were. there are many reasons, but one is that i want to see if i grow as a LEGO artist X-D -------------------------------------------------- But, I also have noticed that Eurobricks forum is becoming a more talkative place. I remember back when I was a lurker I thought of this forum as a great place to get info because most threads were concise and each post related to the topic. Any given topic might have at most a page of responses all which had relevant information to the posted topic. For whatever reason, the posts are longer now and more rambling.Don't get me wrong, I prefer this board to most others due it's freindliness, lack of drama and lack of rudeness, but it is definitely more active nowadays. Those are my two cents... EB is the only site for me... the types of discussions that go on here are far more in-line with what im interested in, than any other site.just wish there was more WW interest :-D ;-) - Brick Miner Quote

Some of my MOCs get a couple replies and others get less but just as many or more views. The responses to my episodes of Fabuland Housewives vary hugely! I think it just depends on the people and the day and etc... you know? Like on Lugnet, people were responding to one of my mocs and it was more than I expected judging by other mocs I had posted and then it went even further when someone started a discussion over how to respond to mocs. Anyway, I'm rambling... Quote

Anyway, I'm rambling...ya, don't you hate it when there is off-topic discussion in a thread designate for your MOC >:-) :-D only joking, of course :-D on a serious note... i just wish there was more of a science to it... i guess i'll find out as i do more MOCs, right ;-) - BrickMiner Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 2, 2006 Governor Posted December 2, 2006 Here is part of my Ghost Town review which I've been writing on and off for several weeks. I thought I'd post the first part because at the rate I'm going it will take years to finish the entire review. ---------------------------------------------- Ghost Town Review Brick Miner delivers us a rousing Quote
Brick Miner Posted December 3, 2006 Author Posted December 3, 2006 wow this is a great review !!! i even got a review on my posting/typing skills :-D i think between the two of us phes, we could come up with a complete official-like LEGO set. you seem to have brought essential points to your critique/review, that i feel just one man can't possibly address by himself. this makes me wonder how many individuals are on a designing team (set or theme) for official LEGO releases ??? in any case, this review brings me to a realization that a lot of my decisions aren't for the official-LEGO look (that i've been striving for), but for personal preference after all !!!
