hi everyone!

I have moved away from this forum without meaning for many reasons, but I've paid attention and inadvertently I've become a lurker

I congratulate all those who have made so many good creations and would like to share with you these two creations

without further delay, the fortress and port of the bluecoats:

The crane:

pro:

- 6 cannons to defend the port

- few soldiers needed to defend it

cons:

- no jail... I haven´t room :pir-look:, but you can hang the scum immediately

- short port, safer, but it is disproportionate when a ship arrives

fresh fish for everyone:

pro:

- lot of action in a small area

- bigger and taller port

cons:

- the baseplate is relatively small

- no room for stairs to the second and third floor

Oh my gosh. That is a lot of Bluecoat. L'Empereur approves. :bonaparte:

The Fort is a little blocky, but the Port is very pretty. Has that colorful feel that makes me like the old pirates. What set did that raised beach baseplate come in?

This basplate came in the set 7047: Coast Guard HQ, but seem to be more useful for pirates than the original, if you look over Eruobricks, there is a lot of posts with this baseplate

Ah, danke! I totally forgot about that set. I'd seen that plate in one or two other MOCs and was very curious. Aye, definitely more useful for pirates. I might have to bricklink it.

Amazing Stronghold and a great start off to 2012 with some Bluecoat muscle! Great MOCs on the fortress, especially the use of the Burp and LURP rock pieces and panels. There's no need for a Prison, we take no prisoners lol! The choice of using grey walls and the daring creative move away from traditonal (Classic) yellow and white colours for structures makes this MOC great as well!

The Port looks awesome too, it may be small but it looks cosy and busy as you mentioned.

Great ships too, I love the way the lifeboat is strung on the clippers. Unique.

Very nice, that stronghold really looks like it can handle some attacks, nice use of the classic raised baseplate.

The port is nice too, particulary its lighthouse. :pir-classic:

I like the grey fort a lot - it has some massive firepower along with a cool three tiered design. But what really stands out for me is the Black Knight, she's such a beautiful little sloop that I could see TLG doing as a real classic set. Awesome.

Some nice buildings here! Somehow the fort reminds me of the Castle sets from early 1990s. :pir-tongue: Anyway, expect your MOCs to be blogged soon!
