About my original MOC(i think all of you remember it) i had a mistake because the door was near the surface of the water and it should be more above because sea's water could flood the house.

Here is the improved version:

Captain Roger, could you link this thread to the thread of the previous version of your Imperial Barracks so we can compare the two. Its hard to determine any significant difference by just looking at the pictures at the top of your thread.

I asked this about your other MOC...

How do they get to the cell without getting their feet week? Is it part of the punishment to imprision them with wet feet?

Are you asking the same question in that MOC? I think now minifigs can get their feet dry...because there are height to the surface.

Is it just me or is this one smaller then the previous one?

they have the same size but the photos are smaller...

here the older version:

thanks for your comments

Ok, the easiest and most convenient way to compare differences is to put them next to each other. I've had to download and resize an image of the first verison because the original image was way to big to fit in a thread.

Version 2

Ok, now lets compare!

I think I have to agree with Mr Tiber at this stage. The first version looks more complete to me, but I think that might be because there is a palm tree and more mini-figures.

The second version looks like a scaled down version of the first version, but the advantage it has is the structures aren't sitting on the water like they are in the first version.

Captain Roger, is there any particular reason you took away the palm tree, mini-figures and sail boat?

Mmmm I like the first version better, just use some cones or bricks to make it 1 brick higher, and keep the rest like the first version...

Not only that. I have moved the "bridge".

I think making it 1 brick bigger improve the MOC so much because in the older MOC the door was near the surface of the water and it should be more above because sea's water could flood the house.

I must admit i had a mistake quitting mini-figures and the pirate boat

Couldn't you easily add the mini-figures and boat again? Afterall its not like they were part of the barrack's structure, rather they were optional "extras" which can be easily placed and removed where ever necessary.

My sentiments exactly...

God Bless,

What do you mean by "bridge" Captain Roger? There doesn't appear to be any bridges as such in your MOC unless you're referring to the raised black area on the left side of the MOC.

nice little MOC. but as someone said. wont the pirate (and guards bringing food and checking the prisoner get wet when going from the barrack to the cell? ) would be a lot more easy if they had a gangway over to the cell instead of have to use the boat every time :-) but a good Moc i think.

Mr Syedow, I suspect the reason Captain Roger hasn't extended the platform is because he lacks the pieces to do so, however, I too agree that would improve the MOC.

I prefer these "mini-MOCs" as you call them Mr Syedow, however many of them are still larger than official LEGO sets so perhaps they're not so mini afterall.

Everyone seems to prefer mini-MOCs, but I thought a mini MOC was smaller then minifig scale?

But you probably mean smaller MOCs. Although I prefer BIG MOCs! Big forts, big ports (peurto Brico) etc.

If it comes to ships, all sizes are good(okay since I am limited to hull sections, I prefer smaller).

That I prefer big MOCs doesn't mean that I hate small MOCs...
