No, I never get sick of customs, but I am worried having three customs threads created in such a short period of time is going to result in poor discussions given that users will be stretch over three threads!

However, the idea of having a "Mods and Customs" subforum is becoming more likely all the time. No doubt they'll be bundled together with the Pirate LEGO Avatar and Signature Workshop

I'm not a huge customs fan but some like yours which maintain the Lego spirit are quite nice. I would still never use them of course... X-D

God Bless,

Nathan

I think it is still a bit to early to make a separate subform Mr Phes.

Afraid some visibility will be lost ... and they are MOCs after all :-).

I think that people will be inspired by the great work of SirLegoScott and try to make some torso designs themselves.

I struggled deciding when and how to flood the forum with some custom minifig MOC's... I just hope others will think custom minifigs because I think there is a lot of room for exploration...

Thanks Capt. Roger... when I get some time I'll post my unique additions to this awesome tutorial...

Classic-castle.com has an excellent tutorial. I luckily have Photoshop and some background in the program. Finding the matte photopaper with an adhesive back was awesome.... otherwise a whole lot of patience.

For the tutorial visit

http://www.classic-castle.com/howto/articles/Torsos.html

There is a great download with the lego color palette to match the colors.

Thanks for all the encouraging words.

MAJOR inspiration... when you see one going for 20 USD on the auction site... you think, self there needs to be more of them...

I've seen him for 40 USD on one particular auction which I think is still floating about. If I ever come across it again I'll post the link.

But still, your torso is different so its not exactly a clone.

Just added a clone of this guy in the torso library today.

Didn't know he was so expensive.

After reading this, I searched for mine and put it safely on my desk :-)

Strange that the torso designs are still not public on brickshelf (This folder is not yet public).

Is it normal that it takes so much time?

Yowsa, talk about top notch! These are wonderful customs, Sir Scot.

At first I was a proponent of this, but I'm beginning to sway toward the anti-sub-forums-crowd. (even if it is bundled with the avatar and signature workshop forum...)
