captainmib Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Hello there I've got a few questions. One, i'm using LDD4 extended, all the bricks in the selectionmenu are red. Is there a way to present them in the normal color they come in? (i've seen one picture in this topic of someone who had that, can't find it right now) Two, the hinge tool. I red some problems with it in this topic. I like to know if it is broken/fixed? One example, turning an axle with a 16tooth gear, just wont work. (sorry, no pictures right now, at work...) Quote
Calabar Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 About the first problem, you can change the colour of the bricks using the colour button under the bricks' palette. Later, if you want, you can change the colour of the every brick in the scene using the bucket tool. About the second problem, I'm not sure about what you mean. Could you provide an example lxf file? captainmib Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the switch. Calabar, i mean this: Image Edited December 1, 2011 by Calabar Oversized image converted in text link. Quote
Calabar Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Ah, you mean the rotation tool. You can't rotate it because the axle fit the gear's hole without any "degree of freedom". The connection is solid! If you'll insert the axle in a technic hole, you will be able to rotate the the whole system "axle+gear". Quote

Calabar Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Well, to answer my first question: look in the same picture on the left. I want those colors! How to get it??? That's impossible, because in Extended mode every brick is available in ALL colours. The palette would become infinite... I think that particular cog-wheel has a round hole, so it should rotate just fine. But I might be mistaken. Very strange for a gear. I've not LDD here to check. What is the DesignID of that gear?
