I have been looking in the forums for a long time like the MOC:s uploaded.

I wanted to make a middle steering construction machine, Like this one, but can't really get a good idea of how to make the middle connection stable yet moveable.

Any help or link to examples is appreciated.

You can either use a turntable like this:

Or build it yourself like LEGO did in the old 8459:

Thank you for a fast answer. Would you know if either of them is strong enough to support a model of for example Unimog-size? (8110-model, not the real one. )

You could always use two turntables on top of each other with a bit of distance between them to eliminate horizontal flex, that should be strong enough for even the largest models. The key to smooth turns using articulated steering is differentials on the axles, because the difference in distance covered by each wheel can be huge when turning at low speed.

Thanks for your awnsers. I'll experiment some when I get home.

I was thinking about using linear actuators for the steering, mostly for the look of it.

You put the turntables the wrong way around :) But that's what I meant, put two of them on top of each other like that and you've got a very sturdy construction!

I think that pins connections are sufficient. In any case, it was sufficient on my own wheel loader :

But I don't know in which scale you want to build yours :)

I used an articulating joint on the tractor I built. Sorry, I don't have very good pictures of the joint itself, but these pictures may give you some ideas:

If you go to my youtube video

, you can see the articulating joint at the 30 second mark.

Hope that helps!
