absolutelylez Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Imagine a santa claus with a real hat.. not a pirate hat ... but do you think this would be a dangerous strategy for Lego to undertake? Crossing on religious issues, parent issues ... These are my suggestions for a Christmas Series: Santa Claus - with sack and a specially molded hat.. Mrs. Claus Elf Angel Snowman - with broom and a carrot nose Carol singer - with book Scrooge - with money Grinch Dad - with present Mum - with present Boy in pyjamas (with christmas cracker) Girl in pyjamas (with party hat and toy) Postman - with letters and parcels Shop keeper - selling baubles? Woodcutter - with trophy-figure printed as an angel Snow sweeper - with shovel (the last 4 would be the fillers....) Quote
Cutty Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Don't think it would work out. First and foremost because it'd have to compete with TLC's very own advent calendars which are by tradition very similar to what you imagined. At least the none-themed ones. Second reason would be the short time a series like this would be running. Holiday season lasts only so long. Or would you want to introduce these in midsummer and let them run until easter? While I would agree that themed collectable series would be a welcome addition to the mixture I think especially a holiday series of your design would not work. Here's something off the top of my head to remedy the factors pointed out above a bit, though still I think these would be better of in an advent calendar: If holidays then ALL holidays! One fig for christmas, one for kwanzaa, one for channukah, aso. Those figs could then also wear corresponding attires (minifig rabbi ^^) and dance around a big pile of neatly wrapped pan-holiday presents circle of friends-style on the cover ^^ Be well all! UsernameMDM Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 (edited) I'd rather season specific polybags that could be put together to form little scenes. Edited October 15, 2011 by UsernameMDM Quote
