I am getting a PS3 for X-Mas, and have a Panasonic E-Series Color Television (SDTV, similar to picture above), 27'', made in 2003. There is a good chance a 1080p 24'' HDTV will be coming my way by Christmastime, but I can't guarantee that.

My question is, does anyone have the same SDTV I mentioned above, if a PS3 looks pretty good on that sort of SDTV (or any SDTV), and how a PS3 would look on an 24 inch HDTV.

I have heard many opinions from video game bloggers around the world, and really want to see what Eurobrickers have to say on the issue! :classic:

It looks okay, but it's harder to stay competitive when playing online, like when playing FPS like CoD. You'll be fine playing offline though.

First there is a ps3 thread I started you can ask stuff about the ps3.

Second, ps3 games on an SD will play fine, but look more like ps2 games, I only had a SDTV when I first got my ps3 and it worked fine, you will notice the difference if you then get HD later.

Lastly depends, 1080p HDTV does not mean full HD it just means it can support upto 1080p, and if it is a FHDTV it will look no better than on the SDTV if you are using the stock standard cables, the ps3 does not come with a HDMI cable, without one the audio will only be pcm and mp3 I think, and video is either 480 or 576, you can get a cheap HDMI which will work fine, price does not matter when it comes to HDMI cables.
