How Can I Wash Lego Wheels to remove dirt completely?

Ok, i know everyone will say with water, but i have tried, and the wheels dont really feel clean, the feel like they are still dusty and dust weakens traction.. are there any methods of cleaning them so that they are stickier like when they first come out of the box

A microfiber-cloth with a little dishwasher and lukewarm water does usually do the trick for me!
