brickmack Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 So if you could choose any one set for LEGO to make, and parts amount/cost/number of new parts or colors required didn't matter, what would it be? Personally I'd say some sort of massive castle set (Massive meaning a child could fit inside with room to spare). Obviously this would be completely impossible, as the box would be the size of a fridge and it would probably be about the same cost as a car, but it would certainly be a great set. Quote

SilentMode Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 A very detailed laboratory of some sort: desks, storage, scientific equipment, rooms, the works. Quote
Vindicare Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I'd like an exact(as close as possible, that is)replica of the house I live in. In Creator scale, that way I could have my house in my LEGO city. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Minifig-scale, light-up, motorized, robotic Death Star. What could possibly be better than a ginourmous LEGO superweapon? Not that I'd be able to buy it. Quote

Skipper Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Minas Tirith. 'Nuff said. More realistically, a D2C Castle. Doesn't have to be huge, maybe a 2500-3000 brick Norman Keep or fortified manor. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Heh. What exactly would be motorized on it though? Anything that moves. Turbolasers, turbolifts, spacecraft elevators, etc. Quote
Jargo Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Supervillain's underground base of operations: Various levels, monorail transport train and central area of control. All inside a mountain. One side of the mountain would have a small submarine in a dock accessed by way of a lifting section of mountain. Another side would have a beach and a stylish minimalist beach house. The top of the mountain would house a hidden helicopter landing pad. Also included would be a luxury yacht with hidden speedboat escape craft in the bow. The interior would be greys and whites and blacks with splashes of a bright colour. The mountain would be earth tones with patches of greenery. Minifigures would include the supervillain, his bodyguards, a bunch of crazy scientists, a female with mad fighting skillz and some nondescript cannon fodder workers in uniforms. The purpose of the underground base would be the production of invincible battlebots powered by rare lunar gemstones stolen from museums and private collections around the world. With his battlebots the Supervillain will have global domination. Unless there is a man, a hero, who can gain access to the underground base and sabotage the battlebots before they are deployed... There you go. That's my insane wish set. Quote
AussieJimbo Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Nice one, BTD. In a similar vein, how about Tracy Island complete with Thunderbirds 1, 2 and 3: - cool pilot boarding mechanisms - motorized pod selector for TB2 - launch lift and moving launchpad pool for TB1 - tilting palm trees and blast deflector for TB2 - custom minifigs for all the players - throw in Lady Penelope's six wheeler as a bonus F.A.B. :classic: Quote
22kane Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I would actually like to see a large retail store, almost like a Target or a large grocery store. A mall series would be cool too. A bunch of stores sold individually that all interconnect with one another. I would think they could realease a lot of new accessories for them too. I'm sure it will never happen. The current stores like the Green Grocer and Pet Shop are too small. I want something much larger. Guess I'll have to MOC them. Quote
Miss Kyle Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Haha, on the more realistic side, I would love an antique modular corner book shop, Art Deco style And I'd be totally up for buying it :D Quote
David Thomsen Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) I would love to see a large castle set, maybe not big enough to fit a child in but big enough to look good next to the MMV. My other dream set is a Modular Tower, something with five or six floors instead of three. Of course, I could always have a new Imperial Fort to go with my Imperial Flagship. Or even a pirate-era trading post with a civilian trading vessel. Edited September 4, 2011 by David Thomsen Quote
brickmack Posted September 4, 2011 Author Posted September 4, 2011 Some interesting ideas so far. I came up with another one: A museum modular. One in light grey mostly on the outside, and various colors of the walls inside depending on whats in each area (Using tiles covering the walls inside, like with the painter in the Pet Shop set). Since museums are rather large, it would have to be 2-2.5 times the size of a normal modular set, which I estimate comes out to about 4500-5500 parts. Certainly not an IMPOSSIBLE size. Quote
Phrea Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) Oh god, I'd love to see Mont Saint-Michel as a set. Maybe 10.000 to 25.000 [?] bricks. Edited September 4, 2011 by Phrea Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I would really really really like to see a Lego Warhammer 40K licence. Maybe not for actual Minifigs but it could work wonders for buildings, interior corridors for cityfight/boarding actions. Come to think of it Minifigs would be good as well and could get those who are rubbish at painting involved in the game, and make it a bit less serious for those of us who actually want to have fun playing it. dr_spock Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 A Technics Mammoet PTC Ring Crane with PF. Quote
SNIPE Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 My choice for Lego system (including a system theme such as city) would be a huge 'glass' dome building, I tried to build one with my uncles Lego collection when I was very young, but ran out of transparent parts, however i liked the parts at the time so the idea stuck of that model. I used the green windows from the Lego 6999/6900. Quote

That would be awesome. I haven't played Warhammer, but it looks interesting. However, I doubt they would benefit from licensing with LEGO, because I imagine it would result in a sharp decline in sales of their own figures and such, they probably wouldn't make any more money. Lego tends to keep distance from war based themes. (It's a pity, Warhammer 40k would be awesome indeed. There are amazing MOCS on flicker.) What I would like to see is a detailed non-modular (sorry) town house with garage, maybe with PF lighting + lift. Long live the civilians of lego town :) Quote
Erik Leppen Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 A few things I can think of: A Creator supercar based on either the Pagani Zonda, a Koenigsegg or the Jaguar XJ220, in a scale somewhat bigger than the 1:17 Ferraris and Lamborghinis. So this would end up being a set of about the same size and price as the 10187 Volkswagen Beetle (~1300 parts). A Technic supercar based on any of those same cars, in a scale similar to 8070, but directly recognizable as the car it represents (and of course, in any color that isn't red, dark-gray or black. A good-looking scale model of a modern roller coaster. Does not have to be functional (as that is hardly possible), but it has to look like a modern wooden or steel roller coaster having a realistic track layout. Approximate scale: let's say it fits on a 64 x 32 stud base. A Technic folding crane! (google "Spierings"). The Atomium as an Architecture set. Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Another LEGO Police Station. But in truth, I'd say the U.S.S Normandy from Mass Effect With all the Figures!!! UCS Scale! Quote
jonwil Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Some ideas: A highly detailed realistic technic fighter jet (maybe patterned after an F-14 Tomcat or something) with moving flaps, landing gear, rudder etc. Oh and a techinc action figure in a flight suit with a proper fighter pilots helmet. A huge technic Lamborghini supercar at least as large as the 8880 if not larger with the engine in the rear, functioning drive, steering and gearbox, scissor lift doors etc. Would include instructions on building it in both hardtop and convertible versions (with parts included to make the proper top for the convertible version) A modular apartment building similar to the new york style Tenements so often seen on TV and in movies. At least 5 floors with fire escapes, balconies and other details. Quote
