Dane Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I actually think it is a nice little POTC minifigs pack LEGO have made here, and this is the only package as far as I know where you get both a white, brown and black sword holder if I see the colors correct, that is very nice. Quote
chongcheng Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 OK...I will present some photos taken of the minifigures inside this pack Yup, as someone mentioned - three colours sword holder. All the torsos has their back printed. And the two fellas with long hair has dual faced heads I do a comparison photo for Jack Sparrow - the one holding the compass is the original one from the set Fountain of Youth. I think this is the picture people is waiting for...the minifigure in this pack is the same as other battlepacks - plastics from China, shown by the lack of neck marking. The arm also has the curse "mark", typical of inferior plastic. Unfortunately I can't get a good picture of that. But if you were to ask me, I think the quality has improved - from the last battlepack I had from Kingdoms, which was totally unacceptable. Though the quality was still can improve when compared to original minifigs from sets. Quote
Weil Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 What do people think of the new PotC battle pack? It's just been released on the UK section of the online lego shop for £9.99. link I think it's rather disapointing that 3 of the minifigures are the ones from the other cheapest existing set, I think that was uneccessary and it would have made more sense to put barbossa and blackbeard in instead of the two zombies in my mind (and although they really had to put him in it I'm sure there's a lot of minifigures people would prefer instead of there being another Jack Sparrow). It's nice to see the redcoat officer though. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I might buy instead of getting a full set as I really want to gets some redcoats and Jack. I just saw this in the retail catalogue today and looks quite nice. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 1, 2011 Governor Posted September 1, 2011 We were discussing these Battle Packs a couple of months and at around the same time I purchased a couple over eBay. So the Online LEGO Shop is a touch slow. Quote
Big Cam Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Indeed we did discuss these a few months ago. I'll merge the threads for good measure. Quote
Cpt. Tristan Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Wow, this is pretty exciting! But there should be a pirates battle pack and a separate Imperial IMO. My main problem with battle packs (mostly just the Pirates one and the PotC one) is that the minifigs are all completely different (I don't mean just faces, etc.). TLG should make more cheap sets that are just a generic minifig with one weapon, or a group of generic minifigs with weapons. Quote
Warhorse47 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Well, it is on the US website for $15. Quote
Bricksan Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I bought my copy from the LEGO store in Manchester last Saturday for £9.99, not bad to add more minifigs but would have been better without yet another Jack Sparrow one. Quote
Zeya Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 The arm also has the curse "mark", typical of inferior plastic. Unfortunately I can't get a good picture of that. What do you mean by curse mark? Do you mean like a fine seam running down the length of the arm? Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 What do you mean by curse mark? Do you mean like a fine seam running down the length of the arm? Yes, he was referring to that. It's the "same" mark in all battlepacks in this kind of packaging, similar to those Collectable Minifigures too. Quote
mobricki Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I just bought 2 from the USA lego.com. Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Everyone look on LEGO.com. It's 14.99 usd. Quote
Big Cam Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Everyone look on LEGO.com. It's 14.99 usd. They are also at LEGO stores, I just bought one from the LEGO store in the mall of america in Minnesota. Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 They are also at LEGO stores, I just bought one from the LEGO store in the mall of america in Minnesota. Do they have a lot of them in the LEGO store? Do they ever sell these things at TRU? Quote
Big Cam Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Do they have a lot of them in the LEGO store? Do they ever sell these things at TRU? They had a good amount, at least ten, and I do believe this is a LEGO exclusive much like keychains and magnet sets, so I do not foresee this showing up in a Toys R Us. They are also available at LEGO Shop @ Home as mentioned before, if there is not a LEGO store near you. Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 This is good! Hopefully they'll even do this with even more themes, like the Superhero line! OK, hopes to high, but you get what I mean... Quote
