dikkie klijn Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 @ freakwave, the pneumatics are actually quite strait on. The switches are right behind the blade so nothing special going on there. Quote
Burf2000 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 That design has been shown on this forum allready and i seem to remember that some poeple burned out there motor? I have not seen this one before, I have only seen the direct version where the motor is connected to the lever to change the switch. So far I have not burned a motor out :) Might try this one out. Good MOC! Quote
dikkie klijn Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 The model has been taken apart so a "few" new pics of the chassis and its components. More Quote
jacobkristensen Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 (edited) dikkie klijn If you had any, extra pictures or 3d model of thefront blade that would be really great. As a matter of fact I am going to try, to digitally reconstruct it in "SR 3D builder", mainly because I got, 4x4 XL motor tracked tank base lying around(around 60tread pr. track as far as I recall). And after its utter failure, to handle 8110's snowblade, primarily to do a weaksuspension. It is going to get a full makeover during this winter. Update.: I triedlast evening modeling the blade, and SR 3D, is a really hard to work with. Iguess it because my skill with the software (but I am used to handle, LDD,photoshop, Eclipse and various others). Either way then I turned to LDD, only to discover it hadn’t any pneumatics elements in it! So Ithought to myself, I will just go ahead. And the import it to SR 3D later, and add the pneumatic cylinders. But a few quirks with the formats, several parts were lost. dikkie klijn – It’s okay you don’t have more info, on your great moc. But I had already discovered your flickr account. Edited December 14, 2011 by jacobkristensen Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Thanks for the extra pictures! I'm guessing the differential and PF switches are part of the 3 stage lights? And the pneumatic cylinder and spring are a pressure regulator? BTW, what video editing software do you use? The video is great! Quote
dikkie klijn Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 @jacobkristensen No I don't have any other pictures than these and those on my flickraccount @dhc6twinotter Your guesses are correct . Thanks, I've used "adobe premiere elements 8.0" Quote
Jim Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 That design has been shown on this forum allready and i seem to remember that some poeple burned out there motor? The design looks nice! Although my first thoughts were; isn't this setup ruining your motor?! Quote
dikkie klijn Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) It doesn't ruin your motors actually. At least not if you take the power of after switching. Edited December 7, 2011 by dikkie klijn Quote
timslegos Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 It doesn't ruin your motors actually. At least not if you take the power of after switching. I am making a Pistenbully to and i have the auto-valves controlled in a similar way, and so far i have not burnt out any motors. tim Quote
jacobkristensen Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Just a little update folks, no pictures yet - they will hopefully get up bye crhistmas eve if we get some snow in Denmark. - But I dont have camera myselft, and my phone's very bad... But currently the unimog snow plow(blade only), and the pistenBully pneumatic blade control system(the five cylinders). Have been build and connected into one nicely working piece, I had some small problemers about how to make the blade mount, onto the control system, stable but I managed to sort it out. And if may remind you, that setup got three way of moving the blade(Up/down - left/right and tilt). Currently I am in the process of intergrating it into the tank. With regards to the 3d software, I ended up only doing a partiel ldd model of the pneumatic, but wiht out cylinders. Quote
jacobkristensen Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) Got all the pieces build into the tank, last evening. And the weight balance is much better as hoped and expected Only downside, is that currently the pneumatics, are not controlled via PF R/C primary because, I am lacking 2 x PF recivers and 1 x PF m motor. And also the tanks inside looking like a big big mesh of tubes and wires... That is again because i don't have built the pneumatic R/C. Edited December 15, 2011 by jacobkristensen Quote

jacobkristensen Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Sounds cool. Do you have any photos? tim Unfortunately, I have no pictures and it also lacks a little styling(The room between the XL, witch are place side by side, is a complete mesh, it holds two rechargeable batteries and the three pneumatics valves - planes are to add, the unimog compressor and air tank, and if thats to slow a new small pump is properly only $10 on BL(Bricklink)). But if the weather is nice and I get it outside in the snow, and I can borrow my dad's Canon EOS 7D, then there will hopefully be some good pictures. But I think I'll wait to, I have the last PF parts (I.E a M motor and two IR receivers). And also the tracks are fitted with spikes (small black pins) for better grip. Actually during summer testing, sometimes the belts got stuck because the spikes picked up too much grass… So I hope very much, that we get some snow, so it can be tested. That will properly also help me decided if, I am buying the extra PF elements. But I am considering the motorized excavator. But I am not sure if, my budget got room for it, because I gave myself an early Christmas present, the pneumatic 8455. Edited December 17, 2011 by jacobkristensen Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 It looks beautiful. Is it for sale? What you mean, is it for sale?. The instructions or the model. Quote
dikkie klijn Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Neither the model nor instructions are for sale. Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Impressive! The blade moves BEAUTIFULLY! Quote
