First off, THIS IS NOT MY MOC! I take no credit for this, all credit should go to its builder Dan76. I found this via the Brothers-Brick and I wanted to share it here, so people who don't read Brothers Brick or visit brickshelf can gaze upon this beauty, too.

What I like most is the curving theatre and the fact that the MOC is bustling with life. I love the philosophers discussing and the peasants minding their business.

Feel free to share your thought :classic: .

EDIT For those of you wondering, Nikaia Antipolis means something along the lines of 'Victory's fore-city'. Something like that  . It probably means that this is some sort of temple complex, aimed at the goddess Athena Nike (goddess of victory), that you have to pass through before you get into the main city.

*oh2* That's just amazing!

The huge scale of the stairs, buildings, statues, columns, etc. really create the "might of Rome" feeling. I agree, the theatre is the best part. I wonder if there's an interior? Also it's amazing how detailed it is, especially for such a large MOC. Awesome.

EDIT: Khorne I was thinking about the song from Gladiator  Oops.

I agree on the part where you say it's awesome, but I'll have to disagree about it recreating the "might of Rome". This MOC depicts a Greek temple complex according to me. The use of Spartans, plus its title seem to suggest this. Let's say it creates a "might of the Antiquity" feeling  .

I spotted this one on classic-castle were it is posted. And it is really amazing. Als als brothers-brick already noticed. The statues, building the scenery in general and the placing of the minifigs. Al very well done!

Epic! The (corinthian?) capitals ... the lightning bolt ... the use of hinged bricks for the curve effect ... and everything else! And is that Diogenes in a barrel?

Wow, the detail is incredible. The marketplace, the arena, so much is going on. Not to mention the rocky shore, where the pattern of rocks and plants never seems to repeat. I am simply in awe at this creation.
