dhc6twinotter Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 OK, I admit it. Maybe I do care. Because I just thought of what I really want. I want a helicopter with a real cyclic and collective head. I agree! That would be fantastic! I would love more green and white parts as well, but there are still some panels that aren't available in black. I hope for a few more sets with the triangular black panels. Quote
Jim Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) I almost don't care what it is as long as it is not red or yellow. I want panels and beams in orange, blue, green, and white please. Oh, and flex axles too. Basically I want a large parts palette in colors I can use to build exotic cars. I've got plenty of red and yellow to last a lifetime. We've got a good start on the orange, now we just need to fill out the other parts. Technically this has been tried before. The old Cyber Slam sets were turquoise and purple. Those were indeed unusual colors, but maybe too unusual. And there were not very many parts to choose from. I totally agree. My room is filled with red and yellow, so another color (preferable orange and dark bluish gray) would be great. The turquoise, purple and green metallic (4x4 offroader) are/were horrible. To quote Amidala: you are going down a path I can't follow Expanding the orange palette would be the best choice. Lot of people love orange and it's very compatible with NXT creations. I vote for orange OK, I admit it. Maybe I do care. Because I just thought of what I really want. I want a helicopter with a real cyclic and collective head. Hehe, at the end of the day, we all care in one way or another!! Edited August 19, 2011 by Gekke Ted Quote
tripletschiee Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I vote for orange Of course you do! You are from the Netherlands! But I would also prefer Orange! It is a good color to use for many things! Regards, Gerhard Quote

Regards, Gerhard Lol Didn't even think about that, but you are darn right Orange matches very nicely with the different bluish gray parts (NXT color scheme, very light, light and dark), which is nice when you are building a robot. Alasdair Ryan Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 What about one large technic set with wheels, tracks new pneumatic parts and more to make a new a large combi kit where you could make 6 or 8 different things out of the kit. Quote

Absolutely!! I had a slightly different idea, creating a series of models, which can be combined to build one larger model. Maybe a car that transforms into a robot, a truck that transforms into a robot, ... and these small robots combining into one gigantuous robot Seriously; Some sort of factory with different sections, combining into one large factory. Much like the Great Ball Contraptions. Or a truck with a trailer for two cars and two seperate car models. I love the idea of having a starter model, which can be expanded with several add-ons. However, TLC has some model regulations and these kind of models don't fit in. Edited August 19, 2011 by Gekke Ted Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 There is lots of lego sets out there at the minute that could use 'add-ons' but i dont think lego will release this kind of thing. Quote

Are the pictures here enough to build mine? if not, then I might do some more diagrams if you like. BTW, strangly this model is still built so more diagrams should not be too hard, and i've since changed the design of the rotor head (thanks to one of your previous writings) to make it more realistic. The whole head no longer tilts, the blades just change pitch as the head turns. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=420770 Quote

Nazgarot Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 If it is a yellow construction vehicle, i just hope it uses the Unimog tires on yellow rims. I really would like to have those rims in yellow, and I guess the only way to get them would be for Lego to produce a set with them in yellow. -ED- Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 I am sure we will see something with those new unimog wheels and those small LA'S . Quote

paul_delahaye Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I'd maybe like to see a big lift or swing bridge, which could be incorporated with the train system? or I'd settle for a remote control forklift, very playable idea that one. Quote
Ondra Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I mentioned it in another theme over a month ago, but no one seemed to notice it: it will be fully rc rock climber. I dont have any more details, but I'm pretty sure it will use new parts from Unimog, like portal axles and those torque joints. I'm also guessing that it will have 1xl/1m motors, which is enough, if you use large speed reduction. Oh, and we will get technic plane. Im quite sceptical.Lego builders have serious problems with RC offroaders for truck trial with PF , every time is some part damaged or crushed.I dont think there is posibility to see new powerful motor as http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/5292 , thsi seems fake to me but I will be very happy If this come to be real. Technic plane? This seems logical, for this rumours are useless ... Quote
Ondra Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Some news for first half http://allaboutbricks.blogspot.com/2011/08/all-about-bricks-question-answer.html I hope its true. Jet plane and pickup tow truck are my favorites .Is pickup maybe that rc car? Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 (edited) Jet Plane sounds great! I would have preferred a prop plane with fake engine, but I'm thrilled to see the possibility of having any kind of plane offered as a set. If produced, I hope it includes a full set of control surfaces (flaps, ailerons, rudder(s), elevators, etc). The pick-up tow truck sounds like a set that could include PF remote control functions. A motor for drive, a motor for steer, a motor to unfold the underlift, and a motor to raise/lower the underlift. Or, for a more complex model, a gearbox similar to 8043 could be used to drive, steer, run a winch, winch boom, underlift fold, and underlift raise/lower. However, I see a higher possibility of the tracked crane being a PF remote controlled set. Interesting! [edit]On second thought, maybe LEGO could create a pick-up tow truck based on the Car's character, Mater. I'd buy it, especially if it had lots of brown Technic elements. GuiliuG Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Do not forget that it's only the sets of the first half of 2012, and as all sets release during this time, they are small and probably only one of them ( if they are confirmed) may contain some pfs elements :) Quote
Ondra Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Crane truck will be probably small or medium size model because it have smaller number than pickup. These arent models also for second half of the year. If will be pickup remote is only m motor small for drive. But in that case...Rc doesnt make any sense at least with motorized arm and hook, because there is limitation 4 m motor for one BBox. But one m motor this model must have, because lego thinks that children cant play manually . Quote
