ghoulrealm Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Ghoulrealm has already started in this thread. Well, I'm not working on that ship for a while so if anyone else is interested, go for it, and feel free to utilize my techniques on your build if you like. Thanks for new link pics Admiral Starwind. *y* I'll use it when I continue my work. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 23, 2006 Governor Posted August 23, 2006 What shall we do with this thread? Is it of any use? Quote
ghoulrealm Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall some else saying they was interested in building this ship? if anyone can find anymore pics of the main deck, I could use those. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 3, 2006 Governor Posted September 3, 2006 Has anyone else besides Mr Ghoulrealm taken up this challenge? It appears he's off to a good start but its always interesting to see how other people design things because obviously someone else making A Flying Dutchman will takea differen approach. Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I tried it, with a brick build hull.... I totally failed it, it is too hard!!! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 5, 2006 Governor Posted September 5, 2006 Did you happen take any pictures of your failed attempt Mr Tiber? Despite it being a failure it would be still interesting to see what you did. I can understand if you didn't want to create a thread especially for it, but such images would be a perfect addition to a thread like this one. Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 It was so fragile, it broke :-( sorry, but I can't take pictures of it anymore... Quote
Berry Syedow Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I want to see if anyone can design or build a close replica of Davie Jones ship from the movie Pirates of the Carribean 2. Could this challenge possible be expanded to include any ship from the trilogy of POTC? Not everyone has adequate material for this ship, so it would fairer to everyone and it would encourage more people to participate. It was so fragile, it broke :-( sorry, but I can't take pictures of it anymore... That's a shame, Mr. Tiber. Is the prospect of a brick built hull too daunting to ever tackle again? Quote
Admiral Starwind Posted September 6, 2006 Author Posted September 6, 2006 So yes it's open to make any ship from POTC movies from the Dauntless to the Black Pearl. Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 That's a shame, Mr. Tiber. Is the prospect of a brick built hull too daunting to ever tackle again? It just isn't sturdy(with my parts), and besides it is not easy! Could this challenge possible be expanded to include any ship from the trilogy of POTC? Sounds good, maybe I'll go for the Interceptor, but first I want ot try the Acheron from Master and Commander... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 21, 2006 Governor Posted September 21, 2006 So yes it's open to make any ship from POTC movies from the Dauntless to the Black Pearl. So has anyone taken up this challenge or has everyone fallen asleep? Quote
ghoulrealm Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Someone called starstefan on brickshelf has has a unique version of The Fly'n Dutchman. Check it out here. As for mine, it's still on hold :-( , so no further progress yet. Quote
