Hrw-Amen Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Is there such a thing as a list of every minifig made and what they represent or what set they were in? I have tried Googling it and get links to a book to be released, (I think it was in a thread here a few days back?) but not anything online. I have found some lists with sets that show what minifigs were in them, but nothing that lets me search a figure by colour of legs/torso/hat/hair and so on. This make using these lists rather time consuming and not that practicle as there are hundreds of them. Any links would be good. Or alternatively if anyone just happens to know where a minifig that has red trousers, a red top with green overalls with two pockets and a bearded brown/red facial hair and a what looks like a blue headband comes from then that would help. Basically a search form sort of like: 1) Are there eyebrows? (Yes/No/Any) 2) Is there stubble? (Yes/No/Any) 3) Glasses of any type? (Yes/No/Any) 4) What color is the head? (Yellow/Flesh/etc) 5) Is it distinctly female? (Yes/No/Any) ... etc ... Of course, that would mean going through every single head and figuring out its identifying characteristics, as well as every torso design and doing the same. I tried the one on Brickset but found it a bit laborious to trawl through. Yes, it would be a good Ap then if someone did that, if it is not already out there. Being able to sort using this kind of system (davee123) is exactly what I was looking for but could not find. Quote

Thanks. Sounds like Bandit, one of the Rock Raiders, but with the wrong color trousers. Is this correct? As far as lists of all minifigures made, one of the most complete ones is the Bricklink Reference Catalog. The best thing about this database is that it cross-references its part, minifigure, and set databases, meaning you can find a part and then view all the sets or minifigures who included that part. In this case, it might not have helped so much-- a search for "headband" doesn't bring up Bandit's head print, and a search for "overalls" doesn't bring up his torso print-- but at the same time, it could still be useful to you in the future. It could be a figure that was assembled with random parts - maybe from an ebay lot or found at a garage sale. If you use BrickLink to find the torso and then you can look at the actual minifigures that use that torso and see from there. Another option if you want to be lazy, this may work for you i don't know, is to take a good photo of the figure and post it on BrickLink under Catalog Identification in the forum and ask for help. Having looked at the Bricklink link you put in it could well be that torso. (At least my wife thinks it is.) I cannot see the head bit though and the one I got was without a hat. But probably i think you are right. Quote
