Plissken Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 The new PotC Movie inspired me to build my own Fountain of youth. I tried a more building like structure and a more modern group that found the fountain. The structure itself is only a ruin. The top once was closed by a wooden roof, but over the ages it fall apart. Enjoy. A group of adventurers finally arrive at their destination, the Fountain of Youth. All of them were stunned by the look of the spring. The Leader, Thomas, and the female Pilot, Amy, approach the Fountain. Fountain 01 by plisskeneb, on Flickr At the same moment, Paul the mechanic and brute of the group goes mad. He picks up an axe and attacks Steven, the ancient cultures expert. Stevens gun is jammed so he defend the first strike with a golden plate he found lying on the floor. Fountain 02 by plisskeneb, on Flickr There are a lot of evidence lying around which cultures visit this place. The human remains also give away a dark secret. Only one entrance gives eternal youth while the other three takes it away forever. The clue to the right one is at the ground Fountain 03 by plisskeneb, on Flickr Fountain 04 by plisskeneb, on Flickr Quote
Tervlon Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I'm down with anything in this theme! Great MOC. The first image is really well done, too. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Peanuts Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 How nice, both structure and story are well-done. I especially like the roof, I wonder, what it looked like when it was intact. I'm afraid I don't get the clue, which one is the right entrance? Quote
Gregorovich Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Very nice structure, Plissken! I really like the round part on the roof, and the whole thig really does look 'ruined'. I also like the idea of putting in items from different eras, to suggest it's been searched for forever. Thanks for sharing, and well done! Quote
Mr. McDuck Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 (edited) Nice scene, great work with the details. Edited June 4, 2011 by Mr. McDuck Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Excellent MOC 'Plissken', the fountain design is` great and a female pilot eh ? not related to an Earhart mmmm ? Brick On....forever young forever Lego ! Quote
Big Cam Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Very cool, I love seeing different interpretations of this fairy tale place. I like it, although I can't help but see Anakin walking into the place, due to his hair. Quote
KristofBD Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Very nice! Far better than the official PoTC official set... Quote
Plissken Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Thank you very much for all your comments. I especially like the roof, I wonder, what it looked like when it was intact. Me too I'm afraid I don't get the clue, which one is the right entrance? I used dark tan plates to build the ground, on one side I used a green plate to indicate fertile soil. This is the good entrance Doesn't keep the plants from growing everywhere else ... and a female pilot eh ? not related to an Earhart mmmm ? That was the intention, even her name is similar. I like it, although I can't help but see Anakin walking into the place, due to his hair. Yeah, it's funny. Every figure with this hair looks automatically like him. On the otherhand, I love this hairpiece Quote
Peanuts Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 I used dark tan plates to build the ground, on one side I used a green plate to indicate fertile soil. This is the good entrance Doesn't keep the plants from growing everywhere else Oh, now I see it. Seems like I wasn't even close to the right solution . Good idea anyway. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 5, 2011 Governor Posted June 5, 2011 There are a lot of evidence lying around which cultures visit this place. The human remains also give away a dark secret. So whose the skeleton belong to? Quote
