Hello, today I decided to do a small vignette of a memorable scene in the first Pirates of The Caribbean movie: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Many of you may remember the scene after Jack barely gets off of the docks by swinging on a rope and having a cannon fall on several navy soldiers, after which he moves into the town and hides behind a statue. For this vignette I chose to not completely follow the movie and instead of hiding behind the statue he is hiding in the statue. I know that seems kind of weird but i felt that having him hide behind the statute would take up too much room and that it would also be weird I hope you enjoy and all comments and suggestions are welcome!

All is calm in the Town of Port Royal.........

Until Jack Sparrow comes running through the streets trying to avoid the soldiers.

Jack quickly hides inside the statue and then stands there awkwardly waiting for the next scene!

img_9067.jpg

As the navy soldier approaches Jack holds his breath and doesn't move a muscle as to not be noticed.

img_9072.jpg

Jack continues to wait until the navy soldier has passed......

img_9078.jpg

And wait.....

img_9080.jpg

He waits until the navy soldier is completely out of sight....

img_9081.jpg

Finally, once the soldier leave he bolts, heading for the blacksmith's is just a few paces away.

He enters the blacksmith's to find out what lies in store for him.....

Thanks for taking a look!!! To be continued?

This is classic humor, good indeed...suddenly, I started listening "The Entertainer" from Scott Joplin in my head when I reach the second picture.

well done

This looks like a promising MOC. I would suggest making the wall a little taller and perhaps adding a door or the blacksmith sign.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much, I decided to take your advice and i added a blacksmith sign and a door leading into the blacksmiths. I also raised the walls slightly, i will be posting pictures of my revised MOC later tonight.

As I said in my previous post I was going to post pictures of my revised MOC, unfortunately since I am new here I am having some trouble. What I am doing is adding an image with an image URL from brickshelf, everything is fine when the image goes through and I don't get that annoying error message that says "This image extension is not allowed on this board". However after i preview the post the image symbol shows up but the pictures do not. I tried resizing them through Irfanview and re-uploading them but unfortunately none of that worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well one mistake is that your images are still far too large. It's 4272 by 2848 pixles and our max. is 800x600.

So I think you'll need to resize them better (with gimp or paint or something else).

And you also had the wrong link. It should be http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/ryanrl/Vignette/img_9080.jpg instead of http://www.http.com//www.brickshelf.com/gallery/ryanrl/Vignette/img_9080.jpg

Here is a tutorial for resizing and here's one for deeplinking.

Good luck :pir-classic:

Okay, thanks Admiral, it really helped and I believe that the pictures are now up. I think that my problem was that I use Google chrome and in the URL it does not show the http:// part but it does appear if you copy and paste the photos, when I went to copy and paste them it had 2 http:// which is why they did not appear. I really appreciate the help!
