@wadapanDid you update 2019 Q1 from the post above

Yeah, those legs have been mentioned and linked in the description for that wave. But per earlier discussion, it's not really a sure thing, so I've left the picture off for now.

True, I suppose. But I don't know, keeping in mind that BAM elements are manufactured separately anyway (and thus have their own Element IDs), it seems possible that they just kept the original number for that one. I've tentatively removed it for now, but if anyone finds a sighting post with that torso design in it, I think we'd safely be able to re-add it. I tend to trust Brickset's inventories; they're often missing elements for older sets if LEGO's own database isn't tracking them properly, but the elements that do show up are usually correct, right? I might be misremembering here. Brickset certainly isn't copying inventories from other fansites, the data is pulled from Customer Services.

For modern sets, yes. For vintage sets, rebrickable. And I think there were cases in the in-between years sets where LEGO published incomplete inventories and so they were supplemented by existing data that was from other sites (including rebrickable).

In other news, I went into the store today to pick up the March wave, and it just so happened that the cashier was himself a BAM collector, very knowledgeable about the previous waves...

That's a good resource to have. If you have the opportunity can you ask them how many individual pieces come per bag?

In regards to:

Quote

They come in quantities of 300, and I've heard from store employees that each store receives a box with individual bags for each piece.

I was always under the impression it was 200 parts per bag. Something I heard potentially years ago that could be speculation or outdated info.

But my last two visits to the Lego store for the last two releases (March - Spring, February - Coral Bricksuit & Elephant) I've picked the parts brand new out of the bags. Already opened in the case of February and opened for me for March. Basically the parts hadn't been put out yet and employees bought them out from the back room for me when I asked about them.

At a glance I'd guess 100. Definitely not 200, nor 300. I asked the employee both times, while they were very helpful in getting the parts for me from the stock room, either weren't knowledgable about BAM. There's also no discernable or pertinent information on the bags they come in or the shipping box the bags are packed in.

A similar scenario played out for Q2 2024, the new parts weren't put out yet and when I enquired they dumped all the new parts in the bins in front of me. An approximate same amount of parts.

edit: Urghh, total brain fade, it says it in the quote right there that the information comes from store employees. I'll otherwise leave my post as is because it could indicate different stores/countries get different quantities.

Is the new chicken minifigure https://www.instagram.com/p/DV4T9CFD0-p/?img_index=1 the same color as the minifigure from this set?Does anyone have both to compare better? https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?M=hol144&in=S

The torso and legs are a little darker on my Chicken Roller Skater.

Chicken.jpg

EDIT:  It could just be the age difference, but the Wings and Head are the same color as the new chicken.

Edit 2:

I just noticed one of the skates is on backwards, and the Chicken on the left has the wrong head.  Both fixed.

Any set of 7 minifigures are in sets of 300.  Any of the 3 packs come in packs of 140.

The upcoming pack of 4 for Q2 (first time they've done that) I'm not sure about.  I'd imagine it will still be a pack of 300 though.

Fun fact, up until about a year ago the BAM pieces came in clear bags that had a tag on them.  The tag specified the quarter and year as well as the part numbers used for each piece in their respective bag.  Now they come in a different type of clear plastic bag (thinner plastic) and they no longer have any information via tag or anything else.

Is the new chicken minifigure the same color as the minifigure from this set?

Short answer: I can also confirm it's bright light yellow.

Long answer:

Spoiler

Just like bob2115's picture it appears the Chicken Rollerskater is very slightly different in tone, it looks a little muted. Likely a minor colour variation between factories.

The Chicken Skater headgear looks all but identical to the new Spring Chick and other birds that have used that head before except the mould injection point is on the right side not the left.

It tells me it was made in a different factory than the others, which could account for the slight colour variation.

That's very interesting, thanks for sharing.

Just to be clear you mean that for the quarterly releases (seven minifigures) there are 300 heads (x7) 300 torsos (x7) 300 accessories (x7) etc. And for the seasonal releases (usually Halloween, Christmas etc) there are 140 heads (x3) 140 torsos (x3) etc.......?

That's correct!

USUALLY there's a couple extra pieces as well.

Regarding the chick figure, IIRC bright light yellow/cool yellow was reformulated recently for more consistency/less translucency, so that's likely the cause of the difference.

I wonder which one will 'age' better? I kinda like the older version with the slightly lighter tone/ more translucency. Sets it apart more from the other yellow colors.

Well in my store there were also these items you posted and some of these:

2018 Q1 Missing Black Torso
6222216 / 88585: BLACK MINI UPPER PART NO. 1947
These 2 are in the picture from a March 2018 post above.  Neither is used in any other BAM release.  Also, there are a number of Items from the 2018 Q1 list in the picture.

This would go with the Black Legs and the Azure DJ on the 10th Minifig, and the Lifeguard Torso could move over to the girl's head hair with the cat.

Lego Torso Suit Jacket with White Shirt and Tie Rumpled, Ultra Agents ID Badge Pattern / Black Arms / Yellow Hands

Lego Torso Harry Potter Suit and Tie with Hogwarts Shield Pattern / Black Arms / Yellow Hands

This is a Harry Potter Torso.  Only including it because it's in the picture above and black.

Thanks Lyichir, I was unaware but that makes sense. Of course New Elementary details the change.

But good to know, if I hadn't seen the above photo comparison I wouldn't have placed my own side by side and scrutinised the colours. And if I didn't do that I wouldn't have noticed the injection mould marks.

For what its worth, I think the eye and pupil printing has ever so slightly different placement but I can see them being categorised as the same part on Bricklink .

Went to my local LEGO store, but they hadn't received the April BAM minifigures yet.

Was anyone able to get them yet?

Yep! Mine had all the parts in the bins.

The second dark torso is not a black Harry Potter one, but the dark blue sailor one from BAM 2017 Q1: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb1406c01

Nodding! As for the one with the tie and ID card, I'm just not sure that one photo from 2018 is conclusive enough, if it also includes parts from 2017 Q1. Could well be that the piece was from 2016 or earlier.

New leak of supposedly May (but possibly later) BAM parts: https://assets.legal.services.lego.com/ecerts/6590530_122857_ukdoc_en_10456937.pdf

The theme is travel and some parts old and some new:

mini head no 3909 common city head but also used in BAM Q2 2024

knapsack in reddish brown, same used since 2008

new brown leather flight jacket with scarf

pilot torso, could be this one or quite similar but the image is too low res to tell

sextant in pearl gold

medium nougat legs

mini wig no 54 in dark red

WIG, W/ HAT, NO. 6 in lavender and dark orange

suitcase in black

mini head no 2141, likely but the image is too low res to tell for sure

new lavender torso with possibly a teal bum bag/fanny pack slung across the front

Now we know  the lavender torso is based on modified licensed one:

uJsHtlZ.png

In BAM it's got yellow arms and hands.

Kind of like a fleshie licensed torso being reconfigured with yellow hands becoming an often used City torso.

Just saw a picture of some of the figs including the flight jacket, which has a somewhat ornate steampunk look to it! A nice change of pace from the many more realistic aviator jackets there have been. Could be good for a character to complement figs like the CMF Steampunk Inventor and Monster Hunter!

The usual source. 1 May release.

Backpacker with backpack
Airline Pilot with case
Balloon Captain with telescope

The airline pilot torso is new, the above photo looks so overly brightened the pilot suit looks blue but the render shows it as dark blue.

edit: this is the head for the backpacker and the cap for the balloon captain if it wasn't obvious.

In regards to the May BAM I noticed twogayafols have names listed for each character so I went back 12 months and checked each release and they all have names. They could be somewhat official/provided by Lego or they could be made up character descriptions.

Jul 2025 are quite specific to just be descriptions, there's a spelling mistake in October 2025 (but Lego loves misspelling Arctic - see 76000) and in Feb 2026 coral is used in "Coral Brick Costume Girl with Happy Birthday present", now I could be wrong but Lego doesn't use 'coral', officially it should be 'vibrant coral' if going by what is used in house. And there's the "Balloon Captain with telescope" when it's clearly a sextant.

I'm not for or against. I'm just providing the information, make of it what you will.

Summer - July (edit: this is when Lego started providing BAM parts to twogayafols to photograph and promote on IG in advance of release)

Ninjago 15th Anniversary - January

Dareth
Oni Mystake
Blue kimono Nya
Casual P.I.X.A.L.

Kid Sora
Kid Arin

Birthday - February (edit: this is when Lego started providing photography assets in addition to the release info to twogayafols to promote on IG in advance)
