Follows Closely Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 My 9 year old just finished a book report and creative project for a book entitled Mint Cookie Miracles by Nancy S. Levene. In our house a creative portion of any school project, usually involves LEGO. The book is about a girl and her cat Nicodemus. The bridge, shed, house and the boy in the river are all elements that where pulled from the story. I helped, but she did well over 75% of this project. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Hats off to your girl 'FC', very nice work indeed. Brick On 'FC' and your young lass ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 It really warms my heart hearing stories of parent-child sharing the LEGO passion like in your case FC, and kudos to your young one for doing a rather good build for a 9-year old. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Great work for a 9-year old, she definitely has a talent Quote
The Spark That Bled Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Very cool. Hopefully the teacher appreciated it. I made a roman villa from Lego bricks for a project in 6th grade and the teacher gave me a B instead of an A because I didn't "really make it." Clearly she was not an AFOL or she would have known the difficulty involved. Quote
Niku Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Great work for a 9-year old, she definitely has a talent I have to agree, and to add she is so much better than I was at that age, but seeing dads Mocs can understand why she has a good base to develop. Way to go. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I can see that she is going to create some more awesome MOC's in the future The was she has made it is fantastic. Quote
