Question about returning & special offers.

The Shadow ARF trooper is something I want badly to go with my Imperial Pilot, but I'm not really interested in spending 75, as the only true set I'd want at this point (until the 2nd wave of '11 hits) is the Clone Battle Pack. I'd feel bad about doing this, but could I possibly spend 75 for SW sets, and return the ones I don't want while keeping the fig?

Also wold returning them deduct the points off the Lego VIP?

Part of is pretty sure I won't resort to doing this, but I'm not good at doing customs as some people are, and doubt I could replicate it with paint apps.

Seems a rather dishonest way of getting it to me, do you really need it that much? Theoretically they would probably be well within their rights to insist it is returned with anything you sent back, whether they would or not I've no idea. Although given the cost of postage in both directions I reckon it'd be a pretty expensive way of obtaining something that'll undoubtedly surface in another offer or on Bricklink at some point. They would certainly deduct any VIP points you earnt on the items you returned.

Yeah, I suppose it's best I don't do it at all. I don't need it that much, but I do want it; I'll leave it to the ones who really want to spend $75+ to get it. Thanks.
