PavementPilot Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I have the 8547 set, with a conversion set arriving that would give me extra parts to make up for what is missing from the 8527 set. How can I add those peices to the 8547 set, so when I am building, the current stock numbers reflect properly. Is there a way to make a custom set is the question? Quote
DLuders Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but the 8547 Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 set has this Parts Inventory. If you want to get the Lego Digital Designer (LDD) .lxf file, AndyC recently made one for the standard Alpha Rex 2.0 model, and posted it on this Eurobricks post. I'm not sure what kind of "conversion kit" you are talking about. You can use LDD Manager to keep track of any additional/different parts that you have in your digital model. Quote
PavementPilot Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do... I'm not sure what kind of "conversion kit" you are talking about. Here is the Converstion Kit I purchased. When I select the 8547 kit in the parts pallet, it gives the quantity of parts available. As I use them, the quantity goes down. So I want to add the new parts to the existing pallet. Is there a way of doing that? Quote

But that would be a super feature in future version of LDD. Quote
DLuders Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) @ PavementPilot: OK, I'm familiar with Bill Shaw's (Inanimate Reason) NXT 1.0 to 2.0 Conversion Kit. Since he provided a Parts List (see below), why can't you just keep track of the parts you use in LDD on a separate spreadsheet? Edited April 19, 2011 by DLuders Quote

I guess I should send off an email to the suggestion box at lego. ...why can't you just keep track of the parts you use in LDD on a separate spreadsheet? I can do that for the meantime, thanks for the idea. Quote
PavementPilot Posted April 21, 2011 Author Posted April 21, 2011 I fired off an email to Lego, about being able to custom create a parts bin, and they said they would put it in for discussion for the next upgrade. Quote
