LEGO Ink Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) UTV's are handy whether you're on the farm or out blazing a trail. This particular UTV has been outfitted for Trail and Wilderness Maintenance, being fully equipped with flashlights, a shovel, hammer, trail saw, and radio. The tipper bed comes in handy for loading or unloading. Completely customizable to suit your needs, there's even room for a friend! Edited April 15, 2011 by LEGO Ink Quote
-zenn Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Great work! The whole overall piece combo just makes sense; rollcage + premolded seats + rest of the car. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Excellent service vehicle, the detailing is fantastic......you are making me want to design my own in John Deere green. Keep up the AWESOME work 'LEGO ink' (oh, pardon me saying but could you resize your pictures please - How to resize a large picture.) Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Very well done LEGO Ink! I really like the effective usage of those otherwise <insert that tiresome argument> forklift top and driver seats pieces. I also see some unique building techniques there for the details (binocular in the bumper, side 'skirts'). Great work! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I love the use of parts you used here LEGO Ink! I think the front and the bumper are really nice on here. Reminds me of the trucks Gators. Great mocs today you have posted! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Great UTV 'Lego Ink' Great details on this versatile, functional MOC. Keep up the great work Quote
LEGO Ink Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 ....you are making me want to design my own in John Deere green. ... I really wanted to do green as well, it just seemed natural I also worked at a camp and had access to a Polaris Ranger which has more of the roll cage and all, which was a Forest Green ... but I think out of the few colors available (in the seat mod) this one came across as a little more rugged. @ everyone else, Thanks for the feedback! henryhotspurs Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Awesome, Just what every gardener, greenskeeper or handyman needs! Great work! Quote
L@go Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Really nice. As others have mentioned, the parts really go well together, and that makes it look very detailed for such a small vehicle. Love the idea of sticking those bars with clips into the 1x4 brick with groove to hold the rollbar. I might try to copy this, it's a very clever design. Quote
Jargo Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Great little vehicle. I like it. I'm just not sure I like the roll cage. It seems a little odd looking in side view. Oh I know, In side view it reminds me of Fabuland for some reason. If I mask off the cage with my hand the rest of the truck looks fine it's just the peculiarity of that piece's design. Hmmm would it look ok if the rear of the cage was lower? Maybe attached to 1x1 tile with clip pieces. Quote
LEGO Ink Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Hmmm would it look ok if the rear of the cage was lower? Maybe attached to 1x1 tile with clip pieces. @ L@GO as well... (B-t-d) I tried a lot of various clip set-ups, and the clip bar/brick with groove worked the best due to ClutchPowers! in both elements. 1x1 tile w/ clip (at least the ones I have, held a little too tight on the clip, and not tight enough on the bottom with only two contact points so the whole jig popped off instead of rotate. (L@GO) The brick w/ groove worked wonderfully because it held tight, but also the hollow top studs allowed for more room to insert the clip bar. Quote
