hi there, i am making a supercar from lego and i try and make it better each time i make a new one

i have the front and reae units done but i need to prove the wheel balencing and tire so that it isnt as soft

i dont mean thetoughness of the tire fo it being worn

medium to super hard is what im looling for

medium has average wear life and average grip strengh

super hard has high wear life but low grip

before i used the tyres and rims from the lego 8448 and put axle brackets under the tire ,it worked great because i had grip/softnes on the surface but low compression of the tire because the brackets stopped it

this time round i want to the the rims and tyres from the lego williams F1 car becuse they have plenty of space for the disks and callipers to go inside of.and because they are a nice colour and becuse they are wide and grippy, they are not as tall as the rims and tires from the 8448 but they are wider and smaller wheels give more acceloration i dont really like how soft the tyres are because of the rims having a groove in the middle so i was thinking about going something like i did with the brackets on the 8448 rims so i started by making a loop of legi treads (these are treads that clip together like a chain for tanks and constuction vehcles

after being told that they slid about sidewaus in the groove and that they hang loose and stick up too much i decided to ask for help, i need a brick/bricks that fit in that groove fine and dont hang looss and dont stick up too much (because the tire needs to seat properly

also non expanding foam is like glue and i want to be able to take them apart and keep them clean

You could visit your favorite hobby shop and get foam inserts for RC buggy truck wheels. They slip right inside the tire and don't weigh much, but offer some support.
