lcs Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I have to consolidate space, and I have 5 hardware bins with sorted legos, and a large plastic storage bin full of legos I am thinking about selling. There are thousands of pieces, I have no desire to count all of these, or list out all individual parts. Would it be acceptable just to post pictures of these on here and list an asking price? I'm sure I could get more money if I listed these all on bricklink, but I do not have the time. Is there a recommended price per pound for sales like these? I would like to get an idea on what I could get for these, it would help with the decision to sell. Thanks Luke

TheDesuComplex Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I would be interested in the unsorted bin. Minimum Price you want?
Zeya Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Please do post photos! If anything there isn't enough buy/sell activity in this forum, and I'm sure it would be welcome. As for price per pound, the general rule of thumb is about 5-7 USD per pound. If I knew you were an AFOL, upstanding member of EB, and you were mixing in proportionate amount of minifigs, and parts (not just a big load of red 2x4 bricks) then I'd say more like $7 per pound. If you can stand it, you might make a bit more money by at least parting out or selling groups of minifigures. Like sell all your knights or pirates at the same time in an ebay lot, or on these forums. But if time is more valuable, then just mix them in with the other bricks and make sure to mention that.
krystalKING Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I am interested in large amounts of basic white bricks,do you have any?...and if so,how much?(Both price and amount.) Thanks in advance. krystalKING

Maybe spread the parts out onto a flat surface so we can see what's there more clearly.
lcs Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Here are a few pictures I took before heading to work. They are not too detailed, but should give an idea what I have. I weighed on of the boxes, it was a little over over 10lbs. I am estimating I have around 50lbs here, at $5 a pound (low estimate) that is around $250. Would that be a fair asking price for these? I am located in the US, so shipping would need to be considered as well. Thanks
lcs Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 Would $200 plus shipping be a fair asking price for these? I really need to get this room cleared out asap. Renting a storage space for such a small amount of stuff is not practical. Thanks
airsoftg36c Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 That last box looks pretty cool! What would you be asking for that?
lcs Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 That last box looks pretty cool! What would you be asking for that? Don't really want to part this out, would like to sell it all together. Thanks
Follows Closely Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 $5 a lbs would be a steal, don't go lower than that!
