Really? I mean Really???

I know these technic parts are rare, but c'mon. The worst part is, I am tempted to buy them. Does anyone know why these technic connectors were never made again after the Power Puller set? You would think with all of the yellow sets that have come out that these parts would have been used again at some point.

THIS is even worse. $10.99???

And even more off topic......

The complete set goes for even more!

Back on topic:

Hope you will find your parts for an expectable price...

Me, I've been looking for some parts for weeks and weeks.

Prices varied from € 0,75 to € 0,25 a piece...

I even tried to get some at Lego Direct and was sent some parts (Non of them correct btw, so i didn't have to pay for them). Finally yesterday i found the part at € 0,03 a piece.

So keep your hopes up!

What I would like to know is where does someone just come out of the blue with 24 1 x6 thin yellow liftarms that are NEW. Now no one in their right mind would break up 12 brand new Power Pullers sets, so where are these people getting them from?

Actually I see that they broke up 3 of the Power Puller sets. I thought that there were only 2 of the liftarms, but there are actually 8 in each set. They are also selling the Yellow technic man from the set and they have 3 of him. I don't think that you can get parts from lego Direct that are no longer being made. I could be wrong though. I have never ordered from Lego direct.

Of course you are talking about the no4 connectors.... There were two of those in the power pullers set!

The 1x6 thin beams were in that set too, but as a unique part as well!

But then again i would not how and why some of the parts we are looking for appear out of the blue in big(ger) quantities on BL either..

Would love to here these sellers story about that.....

Check this part out!

I guess this one will drop soon once the Maersk Train is available from April 1st. Unless there is a visible difference in the part respectivley the mould.

I guess sometimes LEGO cleans out a storage everybody has already forgotten that it exists and some people get hold of the items. Last season in LL Germany they had tons of old-gray 6 x 12 wings and old-gray 6 x 8 plates all of a sudden.

I found in the collection of my brother some parts that were initially unique to a certain Star Wars set, but ended up as a "bonus" in the then "Creator" buckets.

I understand your frustration, but you are lucky these are available at all. When I was building my Murcielago, there were no yellow #4 connectors available anywhere in the world for any price.

I agree that it makes no sense that parts like this connector and the 1x6 thin liftarm have never been made again. These are common parts in other colors. I even mentioned in my 8043 thread that there is a spot which clearly should have used 1x6 thin liftarms but used 1x7 instead. Why?!?

Not everyone is in their right mind. I bought a Power Puller and parted it out just for those 2 yellow #4 connectors. It was the only way to get them. I made most of the money back by selling the 1x6 liftarms and the tyres.

There were 2 that was available briefly for $1.00 each :sceptic:

I was also looking into the possibility of making a white Murcielago and all we need are 32277, 42003, 43857 and 62531...

Hopefully we get more white sets...

Hopefully this new "Extreme Cruiser" will have 20 of them in it....

Yeah, we can dream! I too am looking for those pesky yellow connectors to finish my personal copy of your Murcielago design. But there's no way that I would pay $9 for a part that costs 1/100 of that in most other colors. Yes, the supply is limited, but that does not make $9 a price I'm willing to pay.

I plan to paint some gray #4 connectors using yellow Krylon Fusion spray paint, unless anybody has a better customization solution.

You can blame Barman, the guy who made

. I think that one's also the reason 32184.gif are in short supply.

Every AFOL's set of released instructions can have a huge impact on available parts, especially if those are rare already.

How about just going to LEGO.com customer service replacements enter the powerpuller

and write that these parts were missing and TLG will send them to you (if they have them).. for them it costs like any other axle connector - 0.005$ instead of paying these crazy prices..

But as you all know the Slope 75 2 x 2 x 3 Double Convex in black is also pretty rare 2$ ea

And a person i know wrote to TLG that he had them missing in an old set but they sent him ones in Light bley because they didnt have black.. but still i think its worth trying..

Wow, those are ridiculously expensive. *huh* It's crazy what some parts sell for. I'd like to see how much the price for those helmets drop after this raffle.

On a slightly unrelated note, don't you think you're going a little overboard with the topic title?

If one were to somehow get their hands on the Power Puller, where would these pieces be?

Can a grey or black piece be substituted without the owner of said Puller know?

;)

Just sayin'...

The #4 connector is located at the back of the model and can easily be seen from the back (it holds the spoiler).

THe kind of person who would own a power puller would know immediately. I took the connectors from mine briefly, but I couldn't stand how the black ones looked.

I'm glad I just paid 0,07 Euro each for my two 1 x 6 thin liftarms in yellow I've needed for my 8043. :cry_happy:

A mistake from the seller: He offered the 1x6 but only had them in 1x5. He purchased the right ones that I ordered and sent them to me from Italy. That's life.

Recent prices for 1 x 6 thin liftarms in yellow are horrable. But supply and demand. Right?

Who could have guessed when I bought four copies of 8457 for less then half price back in 2002.

A used 8457 has a part out value of some US $250: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPOV.asp?itemType=S&itemNo=8457&itemSeq=1&itemQty=1&breakType=M&itemCondition=U&incInstr=Y

(and sorry, I don't sell my bricks)

But speaking of silly, I found out what some of the old Star Wars figs I have lying around somewhere is worth: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?M=sw038

Despite what I said above I'm considering selling that guy before the new version hits the market...
