Tyrant Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 This is related to the pink/white issue that the Kingdoms sets had. I have 3 of the Prison Tower Rescue sets. The barding for the horses in all 3 have that pinkish tint to them (the squares along the bottom that should be white). I contacted LEGO about replacements (mainly for the torsos on the figures), but when they arrived the horse barding pieces were the same pinkish color (torsos were fine). So, I guess my question is does anyone out there actually have some that are white and I somehow got old stock from LEGO, or are they all pink? Quote
Shroffy123 Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I purchased two Prison Tower Rescues, and both Knight Bardings were fine. However, it was the King's barding that was pinkish in King's Castle for me Quote
ziljin Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) I purchased two Prison Tower Rescues, and both Knight Bardings were fine. However, it was the King's barding that was pinkish in King's Castle for me I got a pink horse barding. I filed it recently so I wouldn't know until the replacement arrives. Weird that the replacement horse barding would also be pink. That would suggest that the issue is still happening (!) or you somehow got a older horse barding as a replacement. Assuming people handle replacements, weird that they would not notice the pink discoloration. Edited March 1, 2011 by lego40k Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Is this still going on? I assume we would have to wait until the summer sets come to find out if the issue is resolved, but as far as I'm aware, they fixed it a while ago. Quote

My prison tower rescue was from one month ago and from amazon.com where it was out of stock for months. So I would assume that it was a recently produced copy and not one of the old batches. Or Lego made so many of the sets with discolored pieces that they are still selling them to this day. The cheaper sets would have ran through the old stock faster. Quote
Tyrant Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Well, like I said the torso replacements were correctly colored (and they have been right in all of the sets I have bought lately too). It was just the barding, as far as the replacements. So, I was just wondering if correct ones actually exist. And, apparently they do. I'm wondering if I should contact them again? Also, someone mentioned the other barding in the large castle. I bought 3 of that set and they were all fine in the ones I got. Quote
ziljin Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I just got my replacement horse barding and it is the same pinkish hue. =(. Quote
WhiteFang Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I don't think it was ever resolved. I remember there was a discussion like this somewhere but anyway, all of my bardings which I have recently opened have that pinkish residue at the sides. In the first place, did anyone actually get the correct colour? Otherwise, I will have to treat this as a norm. Quote

Both the TC and me got the same pink horse barding as replacements so it seems that it is the norm, or the horse bardings are more prone to the issue. Like they fixed all the machines except for the horse barding ones. Quote
Captain Becker Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 The one in Kings Castle set, the horses bardings were indeed pinkish. But inPrison Tower, it was all white. Quote
