Jipay Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I'm watching the US/ITALIAN game and the US team seems much better than the italian one. Now it's 10 vs 10 after two exclusions... Who will win ???
xwingyoda Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 You watching football ?? Lolololol Italy 3-1 !! That is a thread with the shortest life expectency lolol *yoda*
Jipay Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 Well I have some doubts about the referees impartiality. And there's no way a 3-1 for italia is possible !
xwingyoda Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Refs were crap from day one !! And Italy can win 3-1 or more because there are 20 minutes left and USA plays at 9 so everything is possible, and regarding my Italien blood, beeeeeeep the US team :-P *yoda*
Jipay Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 well there has been two serious occasions : one goal that wasn't allowed by the ref, and another close shot ! So no waaayyy
xwingyoda Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 also add the psychological aspect !! the team who will score will have detroyed the mental of the other team giving a lot of lattitude for more goals. *yoda*
Jipay Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 If the maerican had stay at 10, they would have scorred, they are a far superior team to the italian one in term of teamplay
xwingyoda Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 With Ifs... If the Italians were 11, USA would go directly home !! *yoda*
DoubleT Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Ehm Im on Jipays side.. Ita dont play well. and USA Bring a good fight
snefroe Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 the italians are just not playing the way they should. it's not fast enough... they lost Totti which is the main director of Italy's game... they're just not playing very well... however, it should have been 2-1 for the italians... the goal was valid this referee is kinda weird... he clearly compansated the italians when he kicked out the American player... that's the way it goes in these games... referees aren't really impartial or corrupt, they just feel at one point they've made a mistake, took a wrong decision , so they try to compensate at some point... yep , it's pretty shitty, but that's the way it goes
DoubleT Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Well I think the Italian Red Card where deserved.... and its an very Interesting Group in the fianl gameday for the group.. With this 1-1.
Jipay Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 I don't see where your second goal for the italian is ? The only one that scorred a second time were the americans. Honestly, they were sooo good ! I only watched it because usually the american football team is plain bad. But this time, I was really surprised ! They were so superior to the italian one ! You watching football ?? LololololItaly 3-1 !! That is a thread with the shortest life expectency lolol *yoda* And the quote only for the pleasure :-D
Vader Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Not the greatest of games and it showed that the italian team is not the best in the world, mind you none of the so called big teams have played that well with the exeption of argentina and i suppose spain.
Jipay Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 Well I have the weird impression that teams are better when they represent a club and not a country.
Sir Dillon Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Just finished watching... I think the U.S. play better then Italy for most of the game, but there were chances for both teams to win. I think the referee was giving away waaay too many cards though! :-/ I think the red card for De Rossi was an ok call, but giving a red card to Mastroeni wasn't a good call at all IMO! It should've been a yellow at the worst. Also, Italy were called for 11 offsides, but I think at least three of them weren't. Oh well...

Oh well... the offsides will always be problematic... the cards were al justified, really. A few referees analysed case after case and they all would have done the same thing...
Lord Thrawn Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 The Australia vs Brazil was a cracking match. A real shame the players of oz let that goal in so late.
Minifig Lecturer Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I'm watching the US/ITALIAN game and the US team seems much better than the italian one. Now it's 10 vs 10 after two exclusions... Who will win ??? I think Italy will win
Kikuichimonji Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I think Italy will win That wasn't really necessary, now was it?
Hobbes Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I think Italy will win I know you're a football fan, and you're irish (who we know have their own kind of humor - which I like), but please refrain from reviving old threads with unnecessary replies like this. I've noticed you made this kind of replies in other threads, too, and it doesn't always fit. You've contributed quite a lot in the T&T forum so far. Don't let it go to waste with stuff like this...
